We have no one on our team near him in terms of skill mate.

    Iniesta is a cracking player
Ronaldinho is too much of a prima donna for us. You think Gerrard would want to compete with that? He needs a team built around him. He has no defensive duties whatsoever, in fact I would go as far as to say he legs it at the sight of another man's foot.

Good on the ball, amazing skill but he is not an all round player. For what he would cost (and you know it would be a bomb) I would want something who has a bit of everything.

Which is why I would swap half of our squad for iniesta. Quiet. Gets the job done. I ****ing love watching him.

That is the way Barca used to play. Iniesta now play in Ronaldinho or Deco's position.
AF, have to disagree with you there ,Iniesta plays in the monster role just in front of the back 4, i was at the Camp Nou a few months ago and saw him play against Athletico and Iniesta ran the game totally, took the ball off the cb's and dictated play, was so comfortable on the ball it was untrue, no matter how much pressure he was under, didn't give the ball away once and was always available to whoever was in possesion.

He actaully reminds me of Ronnie Whelan who to my mind is possibly the most under-rated player in or history.

Apologies slightly pissed and just re-read what i wrote re monster, he's not a good a tackler as Jim but is so much better on the ball.

Duno about bringing in xavi i don't think he could handle the pace of the prem, but i think we should sell alonso he is not the same player he was. I think he has to seriously pull the finger out or he will be sold in the summer!
I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman.

maybe if barca were wheeling and dealing, then it would be a part-ex with henry coming here!!! i reckon that for dos santos, bojan to progress, then they need to get rid of either eto'o or else henry......

could be a class 4-3-3 team then......

BUT I STILL WOULDN'T SELL XABI ALONSO....

            arbeloa......carra........agger......NEW LB

            ...........MASCHERANO....ALONSO..........
            ....................GERRARD......................

            ...BABEL............................HENRY.......
            ...................TORRES.........................

imagine the ****in counter-attacking football with those 3 up front receiving passes from a fully fit and on form gerrard and alonso......................we'd need a proper left back that can get forward in the evra mould.........
