Thanjk you.

I was very impressed with him. Especially showing the toughness to come back on after dislocating his wrist.
His calmness with the ball is also a breath of fresh air. He never aimlessly belts it upfield, he always looked for a pass. He also knew when to just belt it out of play.
The signs are good. Skrtel and Agger would make a formidable backline.

You can see what he is trying to do...we just need those added pieces. Namely a playmaking striker, an attacking fullback and a winger.

I am not trying to run down Skrtel. I will give hime a chance.
However Sami is a LEGEND....an LFC legend. He is genuinely one of the greats!
This thread's funny. Can I point out that saying he might be Sami's successor does not imply that he is as good as Sami, or that he will become the legend that Sami has become over the years. It means he will be his successor, i.e. take Sami's place in the team.
If DJS isn't prepared to acknowledge that Skrtel might be good enough to be a first choice CB for LFC that's fine, but it's not doing Sami down to suggest that he's old and will be replaced.

Sami has been our best defender this year IMO, but I have to admit on the 2 viewings of Skyrtl (?) I have seen he looks a fantastic prospect. Quick, strong and against a good team yesterday, unfazed as well as decisive. Been a fantastic start albeit early days.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Yeah but DJ likes to make an argument out of everything
If Skrtel continue to play this good then Carra may be benched when Agger is fit again.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
