They just played Liverpool and London. The Liverpool gig was astonishing, it would be fantastic if they did some more. They played songs from their three albums, and did Comedy and Meant To Be during the encore. I didn't stay for the second encore, but they performed Jean's Not Happening for a second time. There's a bit of footage from the London gig on YouTube.

Thought he was outstanding yesterday. Looked very comfortable against Anelka et al, good pace and distribution.

After a shaky start he has looked very promisng in his last couple of games.

Looks to have decent distribution too - isn't easily panicked by the looks of it.

To think we went years without a decent centre back and now we've had a plethora of excellent backs for the past 9 years: Hyypia, Henchoz, Carragher, Agger, and possibly Skrtel.

Its certainly is.

You can see what he is trying to do...we just need those added pieces. Namely a playmaking striker, an attacking fullback and a winger.

Have been pleased with the last 2 appearances, esp. after the H&W game. But let's face it, Josemi aside Rafa can usually pick a defender.

i know, but you cant just go out and buy these players in the one transfer window. Especially when Rafa has had to spend wisely.

Agger and Skrtel are very very good on the ball from what i can see.... and they would be good at linking play from the back

It would mean Alonso mash and gerrard could all play in the same team.

Riise and Pennant as wing backs.

Torres and crouch up front.
