My first game was at Anfield in 1982 - A league cup semi final second leg versus Ipswich town. I was 7 years old at the time, can vaguely remember the game. It was 2-2 and rush and daglish scored. we won 4-2 on aggregate.

My first was against Huddesfield town, in the old league 1 and we won 4-0 and Alun Evans scored a hattrick. I stood in the Old Paddock with my dad, on the Saturday, went with my mate in the boy's pen against Wolves and we won 2-0Last edited by kev776; 14-02-08, 11:53 AM.Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.

My first game was either Liverpool 2-0 Southampton or Liverpool 3-1 Norwich. Was prob 83 or 84, cant remember as I was only 5/6. sat in the Anfiled Road end behind the goal. Loved it. The place smelt of Cigars and as a kid, even now, thats a great smell. And now whenever I smell a cigar it reminds me of Anfield.Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body.

Remember that well. Tried to get a ticket on the day and ended up watching it on a foreign channel in The Willowbank on Smithdown Road.Originally posted by Gingawaria View PostEmbarassingly, my first (and to date only) time at Anfield was seeing us play Chelsea in the 99/00 season, we won 1-0 with Davey Thompson scoring and Chelsea having Desailly and Wise (I think!) sent off. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Thanks muchly in advance
I'm an infrequent visitor so other people might have better suggestions but my applications have nearly always been successful by post.
First try to pick a match which isn't against Man Ure, Arsenal Chelsea etc.
Next use registered post to ensure that your application arrives on the first day of sale for the tickets that you want.
Finally write a letter such as "it's my birthday", "my sons birthday", "I've only got a few weeks to live" etc etc
No guarantees but you should have some chance of success.
Alternatively make a plea to some of the nice people on here who have spares from time to time.
Good luck.

He's gonna be blown away,i'm sure. He's nearly 7 and already LFC crazy. He idolises Torres(although before he came Gerrard was no 1).
I'm really looking forward to the game, although i need to use a little self control as i did freak out a little at my last trip to the holy place(Man u in Dec)!
I still remember my first ever game.It was at Highbury and we beat Arsenal 1-2 with Beardsley and Barnes making their debut and Aldridge scoring in our grey candy away kit. Those days it was pay at the turnstile with no seats. We were in the home end opposite the clockend and i remember the elation i felt as we scored but also very wary of the fact that i need to keep my feelings under wraps!
It will never ever leave me that feeling and i really want saturday to be a moment in my lads history that will forever be etched within him.
I am really hoping that Torres plays as that will make it even more special for him.(Praying!)
Remember your first game?
Care to share?
random bit of info here but the next day after that game i was in a park in Heswall or Thursaston or somewhere with my dad playing football - can't remember how old i was now, but John Barnes walked in to the park - I was gobsmacked and my dad went over and had a word and i had a kick about with BArnsey for about 10 mins or so - he then signed my ball and left - my dad wrote the date and the score from that Arsenal game on the ball and for some reason we covered in sellotape to preserve the signature - the ball is in my dads loft somewhere
Amazingly i went to melwood about a 1yr or 2 later as guest of Steve Nichol and I spoke to barnes for about 15 mins as he remembered me from the parki own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Thanks for that, of all the methods I've tried I've never thought to write them an old fashioned letter!!!Originally posted by Cormack74 View PostI'm an infrequent visitor so other people might have better suggestions but my applications have nearly always been successful by post.

Just got my tickets, were in the main stand block MW row 4.I know were right in the corner next to the kop.
Has anyone else had seats there?
Does row 4 mean 4 rows up from the front?
Are the any restrictive views there?-----------------------------------------------
