    Got tickets for saturday.........

First game i'm taking my son to.I had opertunities to take him to the london games but i really wanted to take him to Anfield for his first ever game. His baptism if you like.

He's gonna be blown away,i'm sure. He's nearly 7 and already LFC crazy. He idolises Torres(although before he came Gerrard was no 1).

I'm really looking forward to the game, although i need to use a little self control as i did freak out a little at my last trip to the holy place(Man u in Dec)!

I still remember my first ever game.It was at Highbury and we beat Arsenal 1-2 with Beardsley and Barnes making their debut and Aldridge scoring in our grey candy away kit. Those days it was pay at the turnstile with no seats. We were in the home end opposite the clockend and i remember the elation i felt as we scored but also very wary of the fact that i need to keep my feelings under wraps!

It will never ever leave me that feeling and i really want saturday to be a moment in my lads history that will forever be etched within him.

I am really hoping that Torres plays as that will make it even more special for him.(Praying!)

    Remember your first game?

    Care to share?

Firstly, well in for resisting away trips to ensure your little un's first game will be at Anfield. I hope you both have a great day.

Secondly, fit or not, I don't think Torres will play. Bench at best. Hope your lad doesn't get too downhearted if that's the case.

My first football match wasn't LFC - it was the Anglo-Scottish Cup semi-final between Chesterfield and Rangers in 1981. Can't remember a thing about it.

My first LFC game wasn't at Anfield. It was a bit late really (I was 11) - at Hillsborough in January 1989. We came from two behind to draw 2-2. Aldridge scored one of the goals and I think Houghton got the other. My first time at Anfield was a 4-0 win over Brentford in the FA Cup, the same season. I bought a photograph of John Barnes from the club shop (very different then to what it is now) and I remember more about that than the game.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Feb 69 at home vs Sheffield Wednesday.

We won 1-0 and I went in the paddock and stood right at the front near the half way line. I couldn't see over the wall so we took a wooden beer crate in with us for me to stand on - how times have changed!

Hope your lad enjoys his day, it'll be worth it just to see his eyes open like saucers when he first sees the pitch. My lad was five when I took him to his first game at Anfield and it's an important rite of passage!!

Thats one of the things that's certainly in my memory banks. That initial moment took my breath away even if it was at Highbury.

My first ever match was Linfield vs Ards. I was 7 and my mates dad offered to take me. I had no interest in Linfield but he leant me a scarf and off I went. I loved the stadium even if it was only Windsor. All I can remember is some guy shouting "the refs a baldy *******" and other chants like that.

First Liverpool game was against Arsenal. With my dad Anfield 98 I think he took me over as a treat for getting an A in my 11-plus. I'd been to friendlies and saw Liverpool but this was my first proper match. Didn't start too well, missed the boat. I was lucky then because my uncle lived in Birkenhead. I think the match was on a Wednesday night. My uncle had a surprise for me, on Tuesday Tranmere played Grimsby at Prenton Park. Although I got to see John Aldridge play.

The Liverpool match was class although my least favourite player at the time scored twice, Ince. Owen also missed a pen.

I'll literally never forget it, and I got on really well with a bunch of scousers when I got lost on the way back from the toilet. They helped me find me dad and missed part of the second half as a result. Top lads bought me something to drink and everything

The second game I took my lad to we were on the Kop and the guy behind us was getting really worked up. Every two minutes he was shouting "oh for ****'s sake Liverpool..."

On the way home my son wanted to know why the man behind us was so angry at the foxes and what they had to do with Liverpool.

                    Thats really funny

Although i have been a little concerned about that side of things. But looking at the bigger picture,i'm sure he would of heard some of these things in the playground. He will at some stage be exposed to it,like it or not.

He knows,to a certain dergree, whats right and wrong though.

First game was home to Swindon in 1993. (Yes Swindon were actually in the Premiership then). I was probably about the age that your lad is now kop-al, and I remember everything from it, so I'm sure he'll have a great time.

Oh, and we drew 2-2 and weren't very good.
Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

My son Foster is a fan of soccer. He was a goaltender. His brother was a defenseman.

My first trip back to Liverpool to see a match (after the family immigrating to Australia when I was three) was a CL match in 2001 against Boavista. Finished 1-1 and then on the Saturday I went to the derby at goodison. My bluenose cousin got me tickets but I had to sit with the other blue knobs and we are trailing 1-0 and there exstatic. We went on to win it 3-1 and I was in raptures.

I was back over in 2005 and I took my lad to Anfield for the first time. He was 5ish and we played Norwich aqnd rolled them 3-0. My boy was rapt as you can imagine. First ever game and as convincing as they come.

Get your lad there early so that he can absorb the atmosphere. Have a good one.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
