That was a disgraceful performance. Forget the garbage about plucky underdogs and the goalkeeper having the game of his life.

We were NOT good enough. And it is the fault of Benitez. He constantly makes unjustifiable decisions and costs us games.

How on earth that keeper is allowed anywhere near our club is a mystery! My grandad could have saved that second goal and he has been dead 15 years.

Our strike force is toothless without Torres. We still have the basic problem that we have a lack of players who can take people on and open up defences.

And for the final time (as I told you when we bought him) Alonso is average. If you judge him on his last 2 and a half seasons you would think he is not international quality and would pay no more than 5 million for him.

That is VERY unfair on Eric Morecombe, he was a comedy genius.

A new manager would breathe new life into a lot of our under performing players too. I believe the squad is only light 3 players to be a top squad and there are only about 5 players who don't deserve to be at our club. So the foundations are there for someone who actually has a clue how to use them, unlike Rafa.

Why take off Lucas? Lucas was having a good game while Alonso was off the pace. Was it tactical? :whatever:

Also, Babel was a threat out there ( even though he can be frustrating). He should've stayed on too.

Rafa has to take the blame with poor subs.

lucas looked very bemused when he was taken off. No doubt as confused as the rest of us. the pressure has got to the manager, he is gun shy. he should resign not least for his own health. Some of the clowns disgracing the shirt should go to like rise and kewell selfish glory seeking ****s.

The goalkeeper thing pisses me off, Dudek cost us in both cups last year and Itandje this year, we are a different side without Pepe, I for one have been thinking for weeks Rafa will be gone in the summer, he now has to win the CL, and i really cant see it, i wouldnt be surprised if we shaft Inter on Tuesday mind. What i would like to say is well done to Barnsley, thier keeper had a blinder but they had the balls to still be attacking at the end instead of hanging on. The sad thing is im not surprised or even angry i wrote this season off weeks ago, I had a ticket today and its still stuck to my fridge as i couldnt be arsed going.

Really thought we'd be up there with a good title challenge this year. Along with a good FA Cup/Carling Cup/C League run.

It's a combination of everything at the moment which seems to be the issue. Injuries, loss of form, Rafa's choices, off-field politics. This is bollocks, and I can't remember a season as bad as this since the latter Houllier days.

To play Luton, H&W and Barnsley, and make such a meal of it. To go from top of the PL in October to then what - 5 points from 15? - just isn't good enough.
