I'm not saying Itandje is at fault here, I wasn't at the game and I've not seen the goals but why rotate a goalkeeper?

agreed. I think there is definitely something in this rumour. Ive played under managers who I didnt think could do the job and in reality once you're on the pitch you can organise things the way you want. I've done it many times not to undermine the manager on purpose but if that's what it takes then so be it.

I dont blame carra and stevie - Benitez is a stubborn fool. He still hasnt learnt that we cannot win games without Gerrard and Torres even against the sides we should be tanking.

He still rotates, he still insists on playing players in the wrong positions, his tactics are negative and confusing. Say what you will about tactical nous, at the end of the day the players like to play to a set system with a set of players that they are used to.

If the system and the players are changed every week are we really surprised that sometime we cant string more than 5 passes together. Most of us have played football at some level and there's nothing like continuity.

I'm obviously only speculating, but after reading Gerrard's book - coupled with his current body language and silence over the Rafa vs G&H incident - I don't think he'd be too upset if Rafa left.

Well if that's true then that's up to themselves, afterall they see Rafa at work of a daily basis but i find it all very disappointing if it is true for two reasons:
            1. Rafa has improved both players games since he took over(esp Carra), i don't think anyone can dispute that.
            2. The club pay the players wages, they still play for Liverpool so surely they still go out and give 100% for the club regardless of what they think of the manager.

Either way it's not good, not good at all. Worrying times for the red half of merseyside

if that's true then what a pair of ****houses. prima donna cunts. where's the pride in wearing the shirt? no **** that, you shouldn't need anyone to motivate you as a professional, you should have enough pride to give your best everytime you step on the pitch, rather than sulking like some spoiled baby when things aren't to your liking. didn't see gerrard sulking when his mate houllier had the club circling the drain. carra in particular has been total wank this season. those two are our leaders, and if they can't be bothered then i doubt anyone else is going to rise above them and take over that role

i'm sick of spoiled football cunts

And that is what is wrong with football today too much ****ing player power they earn more in a week than the rest of us probably earn in a year and the least I would expect as a fan for over 20 years is a bit of effort and a positive attitude.

At the end of the day they are lower down the food chain and should follow what Rafa is telling them regardless of whether they have lost faith in him. If they don't like it then the pair of them can do one. Personally (flack jacket on) I wouldn't miss Gerrard if he was to go his attitude is poor and everyone seems to have a short memory over his little hissy fit in 2005, I actually wish he had gone then. No one player is bigger than this club FACT!!!

Captain of Aston Villa under 16's and then onto uni footie and then sunday league and still now. I left villa when I got injured at 16. I damaged my medial ligament and they let me go.

I played under one guy who we used to call fergie. His pre-match teamtalk was non-existant and his during match tactics were 'break their effin legs'.

But i've played in scottish university football, french amateur leagues, spanish amateur leagues, and then the english sunday leagues. No offence to the scottish lads but their standard of football is absolutely terrible.

I've not played for anyone famous but have played against a few players who we know.

Every player should do what the manager tells him to do until the manager is gone. If some players take it into their own hands then it simply won't work, what you get is chaos on and off the pitch.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
