Question for those who dont want rafa gone...

19 points equates to 6 wins and a draw. how many games have we drawn this season that we should have won - going by shots on goal for us compared to the opposition? probably all of them. give us another couple of decent strikers who dont need 10 attempts a game to get one on target (a la crouch) or who hit the corner flag rather than the goal (a la kyut) and we could have won all of theses drawn games.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

you haven't answered my question....Originally posted by DJS View PostPeople wont believe me, because of this bizarre alleged 'agenda'

Answer this, what good will come of it if the fans turn on Rafa at this moment in time? Will it stabilise the club? Will it aid the team in this years CL? Will it help us secure 4th?
The outcome of these things will all have an huge impact on the club regardless of whether Rafa is here next year or not.
If you want to help the club, why not do something constructive instead of posting all this poisonous dross?

I really don't know how any Liverpool supporter can even think that....
....he would be allowed anywhere near our club. That's just shocking.
He destroyed a refs career just to get an advantage in a game and didn't care about it at all.
Maybe something to think about DJS before you mention his name again in connection to us. Winning isn't everything you know.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I reckon DJS fancies him. Certainly would explain a lot.Originally posted by AFII View PostI really don't know how any Liverpool supporter can even think that....

Is it ok if we take the DJS subject to another thread though?Originally posted by dww View PostI know I have contributed to it but I think we now need to get this thread off the DJS subject. The discussion should not centre around the poster but the points made.

That's a very good post.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostHere's my argument to the statement that money is the be all and end all and that unlimited money = success.
RANIERI
He had unlimited funds at Chavski in his final season and won bugger all. Mourinho came in and turned them into record breaking champions.
Even with unlimited funds, it still takes a talented manager to win the league. Rafa is a talented manager but he just isn't suited to the english game.
We have ridiculously more transfer funds than Everton yet face the distinct possibility of finishing behind them twice in 4 seasons.
Go figure

I dont get that point about building the squad over the 1st team mate.Originally posted by SpeedyG View PostBut you know as well as I do that at that point he decided that he needed to concentrate on building the squad vs. the first team. I think that we are past that now and we can focus on the first team.
The way i see it is you build up the 1st team first. If you get injuries, you'll have to play weaker players. But by signing weak players for £6m as squad fillers, he'll be playing weaker players ANYWAY - by definition of the fact that they're squad fillers rather than 1st teamers.
If you build up the 1st team and happen to get lucky with injuries (like United last season), you're sorted. If you get injuries, then sure, you'll have to use poorer players. But the £6m squad fillers are poorer players anyway.
May as well not have spent the money on them and use youngsters/free signings as your squad fillers.
I say you build a top class first team before worrying about the squad. But with rafa being rafa, and being obsessed with 'using all the players in the squad' (AKA rotating), he obviously decided that having lots of average squad members was more important than having a few top class first teamers. As someone alluded to earlier, it's less worthwhile for him to have top class 1st teamers as he wouldnt play them every week anyway.

Fact - 3.5 years after inheriting the 4th best side in the country and £150m later, we're busting a gut to be....Originally posted by the rev leeroy brown View PostFACT - we create more oportunities than any other team in the league outside arsenal
FACT - we have had the most consistent defense in the past 4 years (numerous clean sheets and fewest goals conceeded)
FACT - we are making progress under benitez (2 CL finals in 3 years possibly another this year, our highests points finish in the EPL a few seasons ago)
benitez has had to rebuild a whole squad over the past couple of seasons on a shoestring budget (hence the bellamy, pennant, voronin, crouch, krompkamp, nunez, kyut, sissoko purchases) and with one summer with a decent transfer kitty he has brought in Torres, Babel, masher(soon), Skrtel, Bennayoun, Lucas who are all real class players. he hasn't been able to previously go out and spend 20 million on one player as the whole squad needed fixed - not just 1 specific position. if he were to have bought a robben instead of 2-3 other suad players we would be even further back in the title race than we are today. if benitez was given the kind of financial backing made possible by a DIC buyout of the club he would be able to buy the missing links needed to take our club that final step...2 strikers, 1 winger, 1 full back IMO would give us that cutting edge needed to win the EPL.
FACT - benitez, if properly backed, WILL win us the EPL!!
...the fourth best side in the country.

No it isn't. We have not spent much more than Everton the last three years, net. We have spent more but not much more than them.Originally posted by DJS View PostThat's a very good post.
The difference is also that Moyes could sign players whitout the pressure of getting to the CL every season to be able to get any money to sign players.
He would still get money to sign players for if the they missed out on the CL, Rafa wouldn't have got that.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
