Maddock's recent pieces have been very anti-Rafa. His match reports are also a joke, with ratings depending on how far from Liverpool you were born, the further away the lower the rating.

I said that they are two top class youngsters.Originally posted by Abro100 View PostMate you are having a laugh if you're saying they are world class. They are good youngsters, nothing more.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Yeah he has really got the boot into Rafa recently. Obviously we've not been playing wel, but his recent match reports have just been an excuse to slag the manager some more.

I'm not defending Maddock's piece in this case, or indeed the other, because they pointed out Rafa moving Carragher to right-back as a 'mistake', then neglected to mention we won that game 3-0. Typically slanted journalism. It's what you can expect.
However, it does strike me that a lot of fans, and I don't just mean on here, assume that a newspaper or pundit must have an 'agenda' if they or he are critical of Liverpool. I don't think that's always so.

Have to agree with this. There can be an amazing sense of paranoia on here sometimes if criticism starts flying...no matter who might be throwing it.Francis.

It is one thing sticking the boot in on an internet forum that is a Liverpool Fans site and another writing an article read by millions of the general public. IMO of course.Originally posted by Reece View PostIt makes me laugh. We are having a go at a journo for "sticking the boot" in, when half the posters on here are doing much worse at the moment.

true. Bascombe has gone down in my estimation since his departure to the NOTW. I was having a go at maddock earlier but some of chris's articles have also been unbelieveable. He has to realise that he is in a position of responsibility and that millions of people all over the world look to him and his articles as genuine source of information from the club.Originally posted by MattD View PostHe is still a red. Maybe it's his paper that has the agenda. It's the same with Bascombe.
His article after we lost to barnsley in the FA cup was way over the top. we dominated that game for long periods and had lots of chances to score. We didnt get the killer goal they pinched a last minute winner and all of a sudden Itandje is the worst goalkeeper anfield has ever seen, and one of the worst players ever.
We all get upset when we lose especially in that way but he has to be impartial. The NOTW is a breeding ground of sensationalism and unfortunately it seems to have gotten to him.
I might be wrong - someone else might be 'sexying up' his articles for print.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

True but at least he's doing it to put food on the table for his family. Forum posters doing the same don't have any justification other than, well they're wrong.Originally posted by looprevil View PostIt is one thing sticking the boot in on an internet forum that is a Liverpool Fans site and another writing an article read by millions of the general public.
