We are talking about Materazzi and if he gets booked after 10 minutes then you more or less don't have any other option than to take him off. He is probably the dirtiest player in football.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Thought we played with a lot of heart and milan couldn't match our tempo. The red card played a huge part in the tie and we shouldve capitalised more on the extra man. I think the game was crying out for a bit of guile so could not understand why Benni did not get on but apart from that it was a solid performance and we will need to play at 110% for the rest of the season to finish 4th and get to the CL final. BTW Aurelio was awful tonight.

Benayoun didn't come on because he would have narrowed it even more. Yes, he has his moments of brilliance but that is in open spaces in and around defences. This Italian defence who parked the bus would have caused Liverpool more confusion. The game was screaming for wing play.

I won't argue anymore. Just enjoy the fantastic win against the team that are considered to be the best in the World.

First Mancini keeps Materazzi on the pitch after his first yellow, thank you Mancini then he subs Cruz so we can move up and make offensive subs, thank you again Mancini

                          He must really love us
Regarding your first point, why is the manager clueless? Are you suggesting that if a defender gets a yellow card he should be taken off?

The second goal is key. I can't see Inter winning 3-0 there. If we score we're through.

Funny how much better Kuyt got as left forward- actually both taking on defenders, shooting - and SCOORING.

Shocking how neither the ref. or the linesman saw Vieiras handball.

Some comments think it was a cheap red-car for Materazzi. Actually I think he was rigth abt. the two yellows against Materazzi, as Torres would have been free to run for goal (at least at the second). He wasn't the last one (meaning straigth red), but stopping Torres from a free run is correctly a yellow (no matter if he has one already).

Good win - now a single awaygoal could kill off the match in Milano.
                              - - - - -

Even if the red card hadn't have happened I think that we would have done it tonight. It is just a pity that the result will feed the media frenzy.

Obviously we only beat them because they had 10 men and this fuels the fire for dickheads like Maddocks and Bascunt to reafirm that Rafa is better suited to the Champions League.
