Carra is Stevie G and Rafa's common denominator - without him they could not work together. IMO.

Exactly, yet as you said before he came out numerous times in support of GH and that numpty MacClaren

Well my opinion of it is that Rafa and the playing/management staff have made a commitment to each other to ride the storm out together, do every together for each other.

Line in the sand stuff because it was obvious things were not going well on the pitch and had to be turned around. For me we began our resurgence against Sunderland where IMO we started to play a bit better. Chelsea was also an improvement. Barnsley was a good performance but one of those games IMO and then Inter was further progress.

Rafa and Stevie would of instigated this together with the leadership group and TBH what Stevie said was spot on and was reflected by Rafa's comments.

What the team needs is the supporters behind them totally and they got that Tuesday ( to the crowd) and hopefully that continues and our return to top form follows soon after.

Rafa treats the players like they are tools to implement his tactics. His scientific analyisation of fitness, games, opposition and so on. That's his style, fine, but it's inevitable that certain players will not feel any kind of affinity towards him on a personal level, particularly those who aren't guys he brought in and who also don't happen to be Spanish.

Yeah, fair enough, but that doesn't mean they have to like it and eschew platitudes about him at every given opportunity. All of us might have / have had superiors that we didn't get on with but that didn't stop us doing our job, nor did it mean we wanted to say how fantastic they were if ever our opinion was asked.

For a liverpool captain to consistently refuse to back his manager is just unheard of
It wouldnt kill Le Sulk jnr to make some sort of support gesture towards an under fire Manager. He might like to remember the kind things rafa said about him when it looked like he was going to chelsea in 2005. Rafa said he believed sulky bollocks could eventually manage the club in addition to the usual best midfielder in the world type of stuff!

Doesn't anybody in this thread actually have any fact to base the speculative bollocks that I'm being subjected to?

Apparently Rafa had lost the dressing room but it certainly didn't look like that against Inter. So now we have to have a dig at something else, I know lets pick on Stevie G because Carra supported Rafa publically and SG didn't.

So everytime to Press has a crack at Rafa SG should come out of publically support him? How tiresome would that get?

True it might not kill SG to support the manager but just because he doesn't does not make him some kind of cunt who thinks he's bigger than the team. Maybe just maybe he doesn't want to get involved in a battle between the owners and the manager, maybe he has been told to keep his mouth shut. Hey but maybe he just wants to play ****ing football and doesn't give a **** about the circus that surrounds the club at the moment. Most of it fuelled by hacks reading **** threads like this is gauge public opinion and then write even more fairy ****e about it.

Oh and SpeedG, I'm fully aware of what CBT is. Please don't deconstruct my post to try and make me look stupid when the point you are making is totally irrelevant to the arguement.

None of us really know what's going on behind the scenes anyway. We can guess but we don't know so it's all a bit pointless anyway.

                          Exactly.

                          I despair!

But at that time wasn't there rumours that Rafa wanted rid of Gerrard despite what he was publicly saying? Those rumours were very strong from what i remember

Gerrard is spot on. He should stay out of it and concentrate on football. Shouldn't slate the manager or back the manager. Like has been said, Liverpool FC is bigger than any individual and it's about the team and what happens on the pitch, not the bickering off it.
