If the fans don't belive we'll we win the league then the players and manager defnietly won't.
If we can beat teams like Inter, Juventus and AC then why can't we beat Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal in the league.
It's a mental barrier we as club need to get through. Not just the players but all the fans aswell.
aside from totally disagreeing in principle, chelsea proved that this wasn't the case - they won 2 in a row in a stadium half-filled with old nazis, KGB agents and local property developers. don't think "the shed" played much part in it.Felching ≠ Gerbilling

You can tell yourself you believe we'll win the title but if you dont actually believe it, it cant be helped
I want to help you DJS. Take all of thew knives out of the drawer and throw them out of the window. Then step back from the window and tell me about a time when you were happy. It might be a family occasion or a sporting event that brought happiness to you....... and then relax, sleep.Originally posted by DJS View PostBecause i've seen nothing to suggest it will be 'our year'.

i think DJS is being fairly realistic to be fair. we are not playing very exciting football at times are a long way off the top. fair enuf saying IF we can turn the draws into wins we would have more points bla bla bla - if my auntie had a cock she'd be my uncle.
much as i would love to take the title home nxt year there are massive changes needed, a serious investment also needed on 3-4 top class players.
without this we can forget about winning it. i would settle for being still in the mix by march and in two years go for it.
rafa in charge?? lets give him another year anyways with money for his first choice targets and decide then."Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Aunty with a cock your uncle, i don't think, Surely she would still be your Aunty, just an Aunty with a cock.Originally posted by bobbyfallon View Posti think DJS is being fairly realistic to be fair. we are not playing very exciting football at times are a long way off the top. fair enuf saying IF we can turn the draws into wins we would have more points bla bla bla - if my auntie had a cock she'd be my uncle.

No harm in being an optimist it certainly makes life easier! I agree as long as we have a clearout: The following need to go:Originally posted by Slinky Skills View Postthat the good times are just around the corner. I think next year will be our year. We'll be playing some beautiful football and the big Red machine will be destroying everything in it's path, home and away with Rafa in charge!
1. Riise
2. Kewell
3. Kuyt
4. Intandje
Replace them with quality and you may be right!

Thank you. People seem to think i dont WANT to believe that we'll win the title, but it's not about what you want. Without a total overhaul and a spend of about £60m, i just cant see us turning around what's gonna be a 25-30 point gap. It's unrealistic.Originally posted by bobbyfallon View Posti think DJS is being fairly realistic to be fair. we are not playing very exciting football at times are a long way off the top. fair enuf saying IF we can turn the draws into wins we would have more points bla bla bla - if my auntie had a cock she'd be my uncle.

Probably not no. That doesnt automatically change reality though and suddenly make it our year. The arsenal thing will be the exception rather than the rule. Check how many times a side has won the title the season after finishing 4th...Originally posted by nbryan1764 View Postdo you think Arsenal fans did this time last year?

This is where i disagree. Being optimistic merely sets you up for major disappointment.Originally posted by gaynerleo View PostNo harm in being an optimist it certainly makes life easier! I agree as long as we have a clearout: The following need to go:
