They don't deserve to at the moment, they need game time first. If all goes to plan they could alwasy be subbed late on, or be used as subs v Bolton.
    Forwards.......

Fecking fell Alonso has been given a right kick up the arse by Rafa hasnt he! What Rafa has said is spot on though, he really needs to pick his game up. I think he will be doing a lot of working on the training ground in terms of picking the pace of his game up. He just looks lethargic in comparison to Mach and Lucas at the moment. I hope he responds really well and comes back an improved player.

Can't wait for this game tonight. Hopefully gonna go (waiting for a mate to get back to me) - at the very least I'll be watching it on telly.

            I assume it's on?

TBF Rafa acknowledged the extra training he was doing but said he needed match fitness. No surprise to me that he is playing tonight. He will be back in soon enough.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

I like this strategy for Alonso and Kewell. Serves two purposes, firstly a kick up the arse, a clear signal that better performances are required. Secondly gives them a chance to regain some confidence playing against lesser players. I'd have given Dirk a couple of ressie games when he was having his shocking run, let him find the net a couple of times and get his confidence back.

This sort of thing should be done more IMO, let the players prove that they're worth a place in the starting XI of LFC.

                  Just read this:

Tickets are available from Wolfware until 5pm today. A further announcement regarding cash turnstiles will be made later. PLEASE NOTE TELEPHONE BOOKINGS ARE NOW NOT BEING ACCEPTED.

WTF? A ticketed event? Yet I can't ring up and book? And I have to “wait for a further announcement on cash turnstiles”?

                  WTF?

That looks like a tasty reserve team.

I don't hold out much hope for Kewell, but anything that can get Xabi motoring again would be most welcome.

If Kewell doesn't stand out against a reserve side then there's no hope

I am looking forward to seeing how Nemeth performs being supplied by Agger, Alonso & Kewell to be honest & delighted to see Brouwer not in the team
