No, not because he is old, (see the above post). **** happens when you are 25, 35, 45, 55, 65, 75. He is saying he was fired because he is 65 years old and white - I’d argue he didn’t have his contracted renewed because he did not stay relevant to the point that ultimately was **** at his job, if anyone is using age as an excuse it’s Lawro.

His schtick became tired, his bitchy whiney commentary style became annoying. He had a good run, it came to an end and that had nothing to do with his age. John Motson was employed until he retired in his 70’s he was old, male and white - but he had a timeless style and a voice synonymous with the game. Lawro didn’t.
