In football 4 years is a lifetime! People who use shirt termism and the owner situation to help Rafa are cluelessly missing the point.

In that four years we've been the European cup final twice. Something I never would have dreamed of. It's enough for me to have faith in Rafa. It's not for you and others. We have different points of view.

Only 2 manager's have broken the monopoly of the HUGELY wealthy clubs in the BIG league's, on smaller budget's with smaller club's, winning their leagues in the process...they are... Wenger & er....em........RAFA.

With all due respect mate, what he did with valencia is irrelevant here, as we're mixing it with everton, villa and city...not only has he failed to break the stranglehold of the top 2/3, he's dropped us into the next batch of teams.

We have spent NET more than any other club (bar Chelsea) over the last 17 years. We have also spent more than United, Arsenal, Spurs, Barcodes etc these past 4 years under Rafa.

Why can't these Rafa fans explain why are are ****ing competing with Everton for 4th in 2 out of his 4 seasons? Have they spent more than us too?

Or why we finished ahead of Arsenal & the Magical Wenger in 2 of them.

I'm sorry if you feel it's unprovable, but it's certainly fact where mancs are concernced. The vast majority want rafa kept in charge for as long as possible...and they wouldnt if we were showing any signs of challenging them.

Those finals were fantastic (obviously athens was a letdown, but the experience was great) and i love the fact that we contested 2 in 3 years.

Struggling to finish 4th though isnt likely to be the stepping stone to many more CL finals...so cling to the memories of Istanbul and Athens.

I'm not suggesting we ask them to choose our manager, but the point remains that they WANT rafa to stay as our manager and their reasons are that he's failing. He's providing no challenge to them. Surely you can see the point i'm making here.

Changing the manager at the end of the season will give us a better chance of challenging than keeping him, IMO.

Jose Mourinho would win us the title within 2-3 years, IMO.

Memories certainly, I don't have to think that far back though, it's not like it was on black and white TV. And we finished 4th and 3rd, (albeit a nice comfy 3rd), in the seasons before our Champs League runs, (I could be wrong about that so shoot me down if so).

I want the league too.

I have a clear idea about how important the Champs League is however.

fergie and spent 10's of millions on players that he still uses today before rafa got there and rafa had to build the whole team up from youth up to 1st team,

i cant recall all the figures but they were present on the steven gerrard dissapointed thread. of which you declined to comment on when facts were thrown at you djs.

Under rafa though, we're struggling to qualify for the CL...so Istanbul and Athens could soon become things of the (recent) past.
