Its also the cause of their downfall the last 3 seasons and also will be the reason why Manure will win the league this season. Their football is pleasing on the eye but sometimes you need to play ugly to win.

There isn't a sack Rafa brigade. Don't know why people refuse to accept the stats that he is nowhere nearer winning the title than when he took over.

Some people are realists, some live in fantasy land.

I think that the way you (and the others in the camp who believe Rafa can never win the league) tend to interpret the 'stats' in a very one dimensional way.

For example were Arsenal closer to challenging for the title last year than they were the year before? They are certainly doing so this season after a couple of years in which they built a team despite short term results not really improving.

I'm waiting to see what happens as the season progresses for me to believe we are on the right road I will need to see that our pattern of play using controlling deep midfielders and narrow attacking midfield players is progressing and we are imposing our way of playing on other teams rather than being reactive. I also want to see the young players who might give us the extra cutting edge we need progressing. A fine example of the latter is Babel who finally seems to be finding his feet.

On top of these criteria we do need to get 4th. It is an absolute necessity.
