i think most of the money came from CL placing and player sales tbh mate, any other monies came from the loan they took out.

You think NET spend for Champions League Finalists and a team who finished 4th with the 2nd largest fan base and the most decorated club in England of £22M last summer and £13M this January is huge?

United spent more than that on two 19 year olds.

We're the biggest spenders this year. Bigger than anyone else even though manure and arse are pulling in 15-30k more supporters than us and Roman's spending his stolen roubles. You can't deny it. We haven't been able to do that for decades.

No he couldn't. He doesn't have the collateral to secure the loans

Our net spend including January is not as much as Utds.

I bet the fat **** said something similar while taking out another loan.

Prove it. My calculations say other wise, and I didn't include some of the reserve team players (I was too lazy to search )

                          Liverpool:

                          £20m Torres, £11.5m Babel, Benayoun £5m, Lucas £5m, Skrtel £6.5m and Mascherano £17m (the other £1.6m was paid last january) = £65m

Rafa was quoted as saying he brought back £28m in the summer and then the £9m for Sissoko = £37m.

                          Net Spend = £28m

                          Utd:

Hargreaves £20m, Anderson £19m, Nani £17m, Tevez £10m loan fee (let alone the extra £25m transfer fee) = £66m

Can only think of Heinze, Smith, Richardson and Rossi as to who they sold last summer = £25m

                          Net Spend = £41m

I think ive covered everybody there and like i said, Utd's doesn't include the transfer fee for Tevez which i'd imagine will be made permanent pretty shortly.

I had Mascher @ 18.6m and you are understating Lucas and Benni. You are also missing a fair few players such as Insua, Plessis, Leto, Dalla Valle etc.

Most people forget that we have invested a fortune in the reserves and U18s.

Hargreaves was 18m, Anderson 17m, they paid 5m for Tevez the other 5m was wages (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/mai.../sfnwes106.xml). So you need to adjust your numbers in both directions.

Recalc and lets see the result.,
