Here are the PL stats for both players:-

Fernando Torres - Starts 22, Sub Appearances 3, Goals 18.

    Ronaldo - Starts 22, Sub Appearances 2, Goals 21.

So as we can see, Rafa obviously "rotates players" and Sir Alex "rests players"!!!

Ronaldo takes free kicks and penos.

The "the Fernando Torres 2007/08 goals compilation" on Youtube will be awesome.
He's had some truly magnificent goals this season.

Penos, I'll give you. But if Torres were to take the free kicks he wouldn't score from them as much as Ronaldo does. You can't really take anything away from what Ronaldo has scored, he's having an excellent season. But I do think Torres can over take him by the end of the season.

Yes mate but I was pointing out that Torres is more of an out and out striker than Ronaldo. Ronaldo is just a freak of nature.

Ok. He's more of a striker than Ronaldo, but he's more similar to Ronaldo than the likes of Van Nistelroy(or however you spell it), given that he can actually create goals himself.

Although Ronaldo was sent off at the start of the season (Portsmouth?). I think he was suspended for 3 games.

Then again Torres was injured and missed a couple of games at least (e.g. Everton).

Where that leaves us, I have no idea. Other than proving that, when fit and available, both Torres and Ronaldo will start in the vast majority of matches. Which is a bit of a no-brainer really.

Try telling that to all the so called "experts"(and I use that term loosely!!!)
who have decided that Torres is rotated too much and should play in most games!!!

Any usage of the word "expert" that sees fit to incorporate Tony Gale in its definition is inherently self-defeating. And a bit silly.
