Yeah he ****ed up and ****ed up good style, but I bear no ill will towards him. Just crushing disappointment.

      2. Parry - Surely this incompetent fool should be now given his two year notice? I wouldn't sack him and make him rich, I am sure some toilets need cleaning or the builders constructing the new stadium will need a water/brick carrier.

      3. Moore - This guy should be sacked in disgrace for what he has put us through, his own dad once said "he can never do anything right". Goodbye and good riddance.

      4. Rafa - Signs are that he has redeemed himself from the mid season slump. The team is playing well, there is less rotation of players and formations and we are set up to have a go at teams now. All plus points. It's been done a death but I'd be inclined to keep him despite a disasterous 4 years in the league title race. The club needs stability after all this and with him making some great signings lately - Torres and Mascherano to name but two - he deserves to see them next season. He deserves massive credit for gambling on Torres and for putting his job on the line to sign Mascherano. I know I am on at him all the time but a combination of needing stability and signs of change has turned my head a bit.

      6. Assistants - I genuinely believe Rafa needs an assistant, I'd like that to be Roy Evans if possibe. I'd also like to see a link between Rafa and the board - someone like Kenny Dalglish would do. I think DIC will bring in a Sporting Director without a doubt.

      5. The players - I am hoping DIC will want to invest so some players will be sold... I'd not cry if certain players were sold, I am sure we all have done this to death too. Two fullbacks, 1 winger and a partner for Torres please!

What is inevitible is that CHANGE will happen and as Barak Obama would say - we have to believe it will after what we have been through.
Rashid mate, gotta agree with everything you say but not sure about bringing back Evans and Dalglish but I take your point.

Don't want to jump the gun here as the Yanks are still at the helm at the moment and I wouldn't want to have too much of a say on the new regime before everything is sorted and they are in place - I'd hate for this to fail now with things looking like DIC are getting closer to securing part of/all of LFC.

Saying that, great post as it's constructive and gives us something to think about in the middle of all this doom and gloom off the field activities we've had over the past year. Here's what I think:

        1. Hicks and Gillett - One might stay and if he does do we just ignore him or concentrate our efforts on getting him out? Both need to go now and then let's forget all about them, although it might be difficult if they get the stadium they announced for us which will be around for a very long time (if it gets built). Hicks might hang around for a while but as long as he's out soon then it will be a glorious day when he finally leaves!

        2. Parry - Surely this incompetent fool should be now given his two year notice? I wouldn't sack him and make him rich, I am sure some toilets need cleaning or the builders constructing the new stadium will need a water/brick carrier.Made too many errors during his time with us and his time will surely be up once DIC get the club. Good idea of yours though - also put him in the crane high up in the sky that gets the stadium built and leave him there alone to consider his past actions for a long while

        3. Moores - This guy should be sacked in disgrace for what he has put us through, his own dad once said "he can never do anything right". Goodbye and good riddance. As has been said he's one of us. He's done big mistakes but at the end of the day he's a Red - I'd be willing to forgive and forget as long as he comes out by admtting his errors

        4. Rafa - Signs are that he has redeemed himself from the mid season slump. The team is playing well, there is less rotation of players and formations and we are set up to have a go at teams now. All plus points. It's been done a death but I'd be inclined to keep him despite a disasterous 4 years in the league title race. He deserves massive credit for gambling on Torres and for putting his job on the line to sign Mascherano. I know I am on at him all the time but a combination of needing stability and signs of change has turned my head a bit.I'd give Rafa more time and if the money is there then it's make or break time for him next year. What Rafa really must do next season is get results against the big guns - they just haven't been good enough so far and we'll never challenge them in the future if we continue to fail against them head-to-head. Houllier had a decent records against them, if I remember correctly, and beat the mancs more than a few times in the league during his reign - Rafa needs to do the same along with more consistency with his team selecting and domestic results need to be consistent too if we are going to finally be a force in the league on a regular basis

        6. Assistants - I genuinely believe Rafa needs an assistant, I'd like that to be Roy Evans if possibe. I'd also like to see a link between Rafa and the board - someone like Kenny Dalglish would do. I think DIC will bring in a Sporting Director without a doubt.Rafa needs a hand, and has missed Paco since he left - an assistant is a must but I agree that the Arabs might want someone like a Sporting Director come in as it's getting to be the trendy thing to do these days (I'm not convinced there though)

        5. The players - I am hoping DIC will want to invest so some players will be sold... I'd not cry if certain players were sold, I am sure we all have done this to death too. Two fullbacks, 1 winger and a partner for Torres please! As above but I feel one full back will do, and that being a young but exoerienced one. Three or four first teamers might go but as long as we buy quality then that's ok

What is inevitible is that CHANGE will happen and as Barak Obama would say - we have to believe it will after what we have been through.

Don't want to count my chickens yet though!

Hicks and Gillett - I'd love ShareLFC to become a reality but it seems unlikely. If Hicks keeps his share and DIC take over Gillett's half then maybe in the future ShareLFC will be buying a 50% stake in the club? Would provide us with some real safeguards.

Parry - I think and hope he'll be off to pastures new soon.

Rafa - I think a lot of people have underestimated how big a challenge getting us to win the league is. So many said at the start of the season they'd wait until May to assess the manager's position only to stick the knife in, want him sacked even. A few good performances later and things have changed. I think we all need to accept that it's not always going to be plain sailing, whoever the manager is, and take the long view. The important thing is that unlike with Houllier's last 18 months, for instance, there are clear signs that the manager's philosophy is starting to bear fruit.

The players - Some decent fees to be had in sales so hopefully we'll have a reasonably sizeable budget. Ideally a winger, an attacking fullback, and a 'hole' type player should be brought in. Easier said than done of course. Would be very happy with 2 of the 3 as long as they're of the right calibre.

IF DIC come in, I'd like a new start.

Obviously G&H would no longer be with us but Moores should go. Yes he made a mistake but he got well paid for it. I'd much prefer to see Dalglish be given a honorary role at the club more than anybody.

Parry should have gone in 2005 after the debacle with Gerrards contract. The fact he is still in employment with this club means something is wrong.

Give Rafa the players he wants, get him an assistant and let him get on with it.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Keep up the protest until both Yanks are gone for good.

              Keep Rafa.

Bring in an assistant if Rafa wants one. But it must also be one who Rafa trusts. Anyone who is bought in to deal with football matters must be discussed with Rafa.

Parry used to help ease the new members in.

Moores kept in ideally. I'm not a fan of his and am disgusted with how im
competent he has been, but a lifelong red can surely be of use to the fans should any problems arise. Allegedly he's been keeping Tony Barret clued up. Handy indeed.
              Forwards.......

Definitely think Rafa should stay and be backed substantially for the forst team whilst trimming the squad.

Would like the battering of Moores to stop & for him to stay on in some capacity as despite making a minumental fcuk up nobody can doubt his passion & love for the club (actually I would love it to come out in the future that he was responsible for DIC coming back in and "saving" the situation but probably a bit optimistic).

I have thought all along that if DIC were to take over then Parry would be turfed out on the spot but I would guess he will stay on with someone coming in to work alongside him with a view to replacing him in the long term - for consistency if nothing else

in he original takeover talks over a year ago, did DIC not say that their aim was to invest in lfc and make them bigger and then sell them on for a profit in somthing like 5 to 7 years......

point i am trying to make is that DIC will want to see a return for their investment - exactly the same as the yanks.....the same yanks who bought torres, mascherano, babel, skrtel.........and also are building a stadium....

point is: be careful what you wish for...

so where is their return going to come from? LFC is a sh1t business and makes sod all as things stand.

it has scope for growth both in terms of income streams and underlying asset value - by boosting the brand and building the stadium. This takes investment and requires success on the pitch.

them wanting a return on investment is not a problem. them being able to take us where we need to go to do that is another entirely.
