    A new low for Lawro

from his predictions on the beeb ...

I thought that Arsenal's performance at AC Milan on Tuesday was the best performance by an English team in the Champions League since Manchester United's victory over Juventus in Turin in 1999.

Words fail me: surely he was replaced by a pod-person in the 90s?
Remember, we're only adding to the nonsense.

Walking a lonely road one night, Nasruddin saw riders approaching. His imagination ran riot: he saw himself robbed or killed, so he climbed a wall into a graveyard and hid. Puzzled at his behaviour, the riders, who were followers of the Mullah, followed. Finding him cowering behind a grave, they asked "Great Sage, why are you hiding here?". "It's more complicated than you think" he replied, "I'm here because of you - and you're here because of me"

He must have missed our game away against Barca last year.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Not being funny here, but what about Scum's battering of Roma last year or us away to Barca. Barcelona were expected to put us aside easily and we played an outstanding match against them. Fair play to Arsenal great performance and all but slightly overboard comments.

Lawrenson is a buffoon. A bitter buffoon.

Also, after meeting him last year - he's also one of the most miserable men on the planet

You are of course right. However, Lawrenson was talking about performaces. I'm sure the Mancs prefer the final they won to the game against Juve, but as Lawrenson is talking about performaces, the Juve one was of course better. We put on a much better display with more control in barcelona than we did in Istanbul, there is no question of that.

Surely the best performance has to involve playing well in both halves.

It was a fantastic result, but there is no doubt Milan were there for the taking. They are over the hill, struggling in Serie A and didn't win a home game for months.

Well done to Arsenal, but let's not go mad here.

Amen brother. Based on the reaction of Gooners and the media, you'd think it was AC Milan who are miles clear at the top of Serie A.

AC Milan have only won 4 games at home all season.

What about our 2-0 win over Juventus? We ****ed them over good and proper.

Also our record 8-0 win over Besiktas was a bit tasty

The highlight for me was Barcelona though.
