well now you mention it, I reckon that Agger and Skrtel could be our centre half partnership for the next 10 years...then again...!!!!!

Yeah really impressed with Skrtel so far. He spots danger ever so quickly and he snuffs it out with equal haste and assurance. Strong, decisive, quick...another great purchase by Rafa.

Can't wait to see an Agger/Skrtel axis at the back.

Thats the key. He ATTACKS the ball much quicker than say JC or Sami. Not saying he's a beter player or anything yet, but his style of play more offensive (in a footballing sense!!). JC is a pure defender, reating to any danger and putting himself between goal and ball every time. Skrtl seems to be at the ball well before it even becomes a danger if you get what i mean. Im not deriding JC's syle of play, just think its different. I also think Agger and Skrtl allow us to play quicker attacking football and release the midfield sooner, all good for the future.

Skrtel is gettin' better with every game. Get Agger back and I can't see us having to buy any centre backs till about 2018!

Yeah totally agree, that's what I was getting at. Really attacks the ball, reads play well, pro-active rather than reactive, aggressive, no indecision, no ****ing about, quick, strong, the lot!
