True, Carra does need to rest at times.
One thing Carra gives is a lot of organisation (SHOUTING) which I don't know if an Agger/Skrtel combo would do. With Agger having been out for so long and Skittles still being new there could be some mistakes early on.
However, they both have a lot of ability and should be great for us for many years to come.

Thats right, Rafa has rarely wasted money when he's had a decent amount to spend. Skrtel and Agger are fantastic signings and shows Rafa scouting networks are good-not many would have heard or rated Skrtel

Agree with you 100% there when Rafa has had a decent amount he has spent well. Also i just remembered that Mash is here for 4 years .

Also i was on Redcafe the other day and they were gutted they bought Tevez rather than Torres. Don't think they know Torres told whiskey breath to do one.

Agree but i think a back 4 including Agger and Skrtel looks scary as if you were a striker would you want two big ****ers full of tattoos wanting to flatten you?

Neither are in Carras league yet. As pointed out earlier in the thread Carra is quality as a leader at the back.

But if Skrtel and Agger continue to improve (and stay injury free) we could be sorted in central defence for the next eleven years or so.

Maybe so, but a Carra type player is what a team is built on. Think Terry at Chelsae and Vidic at the Mancs.

He looks very good, but Carra is a leader on the pitch and I would be shocked if he wasn't a regular starter for next season at least.

Him and Agger are our future at the back though, both ball playing CB's which is very exciting.
