He's played for the reserves twice had 45 and 60 min run-outs. Understandably Rafa is being cautious. The next reserves game is wednesday so maybe we will see him a week or so after that.

BTW In the last game he played he was awesome, the match report said he was pinging the ball around like Xabi. Boy have we missed him.

think that one of agger or skrtel would need to replace sami and carra's leadership. keeping sami for another year to tech them two and the younger lads like hobbs could be vital, as his marshaling of the defence and reading of the game is fantastic, easily making up for pace most times

would love him as a coach when he retires to teach the next generation

What does Carra actually, all I hear is him shouting "OUT" when the ball is cleared.

skittles is a big strong ugly ****er - made for defending. glad we have him
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

            Spot on

Just how at least one of your centre halves should be - a big, ugly, skinheaded, tattooed monster who looks more like an extra from Prison Break than a footballer !!!

I have to say, I knew little about him before he signed and comments from Rafa suggested he was more in the mould of Carra than Agger - I've been pleasantly surprised at how comfortable he is on the ball though as I wasn't expecting this. He doesn't possess Agger's passing ability but when he gets the ball he is always looking for an opportunity to dash forward 10 or 20 yards before laying it off simply but keeping possession & further up the pitch. He tackles well and has a decent turn of speed it seems - after a dodgy debut (where the entire team were appalling) he has barely put a foot wrong and has settled in very well

I think Rafa has pulled a master stroke here - many people were looking for us to sign someone for cover for Agger & Carra but that's not what we needed - we needed someone to challenge for their places and to keep them on their toes ...... we have genuine competition for places here so no-one can afford to slip into the comfort zone

That's his job ain't it, marshalling the defence, keeping them all in a line etc?

What can I say? I would. Something about a bloke who can run like Dale Winton with a limp wrist and STILL look hard!

The fact that he is full of confidence and seems like he has been here for ages helps, too.

Does Skrtel start tomorrow night? Or would you go with Sami's experience?
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

I would be averse to messing with something that is working so, Squirtle it is! Sorry, Sami.

Having said that, the aerial threat might be a problem. Sami would have that covered.

I reckon they'll both play, with Carra at right back.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

                              I reckon you're right

Possibly we'll see Benayoun on the left also as I would expect him to go for experience tomorrow night - likely to be a hostile envoirnment in the San Siro so need old heads in the team methinks

Benayoun works pretty well with Arbeloa.
