Could he not have planned to have his kid in the summer? Poor show

    Congratulations Xabi lad.

Too right - I was out last weekend with a group of guys from work, one of the guys mates tagged along who was an avid Manc.
Talk got round to families & stuff & this knobhead was boasting that he'd missed the birth of his second child as he was at the Manc v Chav FA Cup Final last year... dunno if he expected us to say 'wow, how cool' but he genuinely couldnt understand why people were calling him a dickhead for doing so...

Nice one Xabi... & Rafa really ought to not take offence to it (I think it's just paper talk anyway)
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

            How.

100 times out of 100, I would rather be at the birth of my child than basically "At Work".

Dont forget it is Xabi's job. You would stay off work for the birth of your child.

              Pfft

Being there for the birth of your child is more important than your work.

I don't know what to say to anyone that would think otherwise.

Yeah the same Hussain who brought his pregnant wife out to Australia early so he didn't have to miss the birth (all paid for by the ECB)

On Xabi it's a perfectly normal reaction, Rafa has to plan for the game and he can't rely on Xabi being there or if he is then he can't rely on him being 100% focused.
Lucas will be fine, he played well in the 1st leg.

Rafa is Rafa....he expects his players to show the same commitment as him.

He missed his father's funeral while we were in Tokyo in 2005.

Petr Cech missed the birth of his firstborn child to play for Chelsea in the Carling Cup.

                              I thought that was pathetic!
