Certainly not prolific, but then neither was Torres. Anyhow they would create more than they would score, plus Rafa would improve them 20%.

I agree. We cannot say we will challenge for the EPL if we sh!t our pants every time Torres goes down after a tackle. Crouch, Kuyt and Voronin are NOT EPL-winning back-ups.

This was my origional point of the thread, plus the fact as we are only playing one central striker we need a backup who can play elsewhere in the team, like how rooney can play as a winger, as someone has already mentioned we have babel but I think we need one other whom is more proven if we intend to will the league next year.

Do you think Totti would ever consider leaving Roma..... or is he their Carra?

Kuyt is not exceptional in this role, not even above average. When a quality attacking player takes his place in this formation there will be no looking back.

Thats a good call, certainly future wise. I would prefer someone more proven and adept at taking players on though.

We do though have 2 players already whom could fill this role, but they already have central positions (although gerard couldnt play upfront if required)

The ideal player for us would maybe be someone like Drogba and move Torres to a babel position on the right?

Torres and Gerard would absolutely love playing off someone like that (ability wise)

We only have 3CMs for 2 positions now that we are playing 4231. We may need to bring in another or hope someone like Plessis can make the step up. It's quite ironic as 6 months ago we were overloaded in CM.
