Riise on for Babel. A decent game for Babel but more end product required for the amount of ball he had. He was our main attacking outlet.

Poor defending from us, Arbeloa loses it and we're lucky to get a goal-kick when Xabi is a bit slow in the box to clear.

We've really not impressed as an attacking team this second-half, too many long balls to Reading players.

Another long ball from Pepe, another Reading header to win it, but they give it away and Torres is caught by Cisse who will surely be booked as Nando was through onto the back line.

Xabi over the free-kick, drives it in low, cleared.

Yossi into Torres, he finds Xabi, over to Riise but his early cross is claimed by Hahnemann.

Mascher brings it out well, Riise comes forward, finds Xabi in acres of space but Xabi with plenty of time hits the shot poorly and over. Fancied him to make it 3-1 there.

Reading on the attack in the final minute of normal time, Carra clears, Torres almost free to run at the defence but we lose it for a Reading throw.

Skrtel and Kitson tangle, Skrtel goes down and gets the free-kick. 4 mins added time.

Xabi down with another head knock. Reading free-kick, chance to lob it into the box.

Shorey free-kick, we don't clear, Kitson on the volley and Gerrard blocks it for a corner. Hand-ball by Gerrard but was close range.

Corner is cleared, Mascher almost through but Reading clear.

Hahnemann is up for the free-kick, Sami is on for Gerrard. Gerrard has a moan at the ref before leaving.

Free-kick drops onto the goal-line but Pepe claims at the second attempt, the clearance then comes to Xabi who attempts to score from 60 yards with no keeper in the goal but it goes about 5 yards wide.

Whistle goes, it was a trying afternoon but the 3 points are secured ahead of some massive games.
