To be fair though he is young and improving. There is no reason why he cant manage a few goals. This is just the start for Mascher, lots goals to come

Mascher doesn't need to shoot. He can just run his way into the back of the net, no one would mess with him.

3 in his entire career mate. There's gonna be a reason for that.

If he scores 10 during his entire time at Anfield, i'll be surprised.

Three at club level then? He scored two in the summer with Argentina, so that's three in less than a year

No. Today was his first ever club goal. Plus 2 for Argentina. So 3 in total.

I can't decide if I want them to win or lose. On the one hand, I'd like them to go on a four or five game losing streak. On the other, I don't want the Mancs to win the league...

Also, IF we were to beat the Mancs next week, we'd only be 5 points behind...

Well we're not gonna win the title. So the next thing is for United to not win it. Arsenal are the most likely to stop them. That's all i need to know. Come on Arsenal, you bunch of tits.

First of all, footballing intelligence. Skrtel impressed again with his solidity but there was one incident in the 2nd half where Aurelio got the ball caught under his feet and the reading player broke into the box down the right. Skrtel came across and it was one of those where the defender would get there a split second too late and catch the player. I feared the penalty...but Skrtel just got his body in between the ball and the player...and it ran behind safely for the goal kick. So many stupid defenders get caught out with those, but Skrtel didnt. Excellent stuff.

Onto Torres. Watch his goal again and marvel at his intelligence and maturity. Bikey was meant to be marking him, but Torres movement was superb. Led Bikey a merry dance as the kick was about to be taken and once the ball reached the box, Bikey was nowhere near Nando, who comfortably headed home. Incredible intelligence and maturity for his age.

Now Babel. I like him, i really do. But footballing intelligence is something he needs to improve on. I imagine he probably will, but there are too many occasions where he tries to do to much on his own, when a simple pass or lay-off is the correct course of action. Several times, he beats the man but sometimes he loses the ball when there wasnt any need to. But overall, he's coming along nicely. Quick and strong, he commits defenders and packs a punch with his shooting. Very good progress.

Reina. Every keeper makes top saves. That's not a measure of quality. The amount of mistakes they make is the key and Pepe doesnt make many. More impressive is his mobility and ability to set up quick counter attacks with a good throw or kick. Couldnt ask for more.

Monster Masch was excellent again and it's nice to see him finally score. If he can somehow add 5 goals a season to his game, he'll be more or less the complete 'defensive' midfielder.

It's no coincidence that Rafa's been playing the strongest side with minimal rotation - and we've won 7 in a row.

The only weak link for me is Kuyt. Babel offers pace, power and commits defenders, as well as carrying a consistent goal threat. Gerrard is Gerrard, Torres is world class. The only weak link in the forward line (and the team overall IMO) is Kuyt. Too weak and slow, lacks quality and spark...and looks out of his depth and easy to defend against.
I like him for his attitude and commitment, but you need more than workrate, especially in an attacking role.

It's hugely frustrating that we're left with a mountain to climb every February because if he just didnt feck about with the team earlier in the season, we'd probably be in a four-team title race. There's simply no need for it, it unsettles the rhythm and disrupts the stability and fluidity of the team. Will he do it again next season? I fear he will...but hope i'm wrong.
We are improving, only 8 off the top now and I think Rafa is still making two or three changes on average.

I wonder what changes Rafa will make for Utd.

I'd like to see Crouch play against them, but he doesn't fit into the current formation.
