    I urge you all

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...or/default.stm

Quickly do all of your predictions ..... via the BBC (see above) ....... I only did top 5 and gave everybody eles 0-0 ....... there are some very tricky fixtures coming up for all of the top 4 and if you work on the basis that we do very well and the others get very distracted by the CL... you might be in for a bit of a shock!

It's tighter than I expected, a lot depends on the game next weekend, IF we get a good result there I guess it opens up a lot of possibilities, just imagine if we hadn't thrown all these games.

I am starting to believe that next season will really be the season, IF Torres doesn't suffer second season syndrome or something like that.
    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Hmmm ... There's some tricky games coming up. We'd have to win them all to have a chance but on current form we could. Maybe we're making out for lost time and all these dropped points earlier.

I guess Rafa gambled well by rotating his squad, but we lost some crucial points out of bad luck and poor finishing. We seem to be finishing stronger than the other top teams too. It's clear that we're only a whisker away from winning this league.

Anyway, there's still a long way to go and it would be premature to predict this and that. The proof has to be in the pudding.

I can see us finishing within 6-8 points from whoever wins the title. Yes we did throw away alot of points mainly during the month of January but i am sure Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd can probably point to games where they threw away points as well. The bottom line is we weren't good enough in that period to stay in touching distance of the leaders and that is why we will fall short of the title this year. All the top teams have a difficult spell but ours lasted a bit longer than theirs.

others will drop points...so if we win our games we can really gain some ground.

Its a real long shot...but anything could happen.

That's about right desertscouser. With our record against the top 4 and the fact that Everton will kick the ankles off us at Anfield as usual, I'm afraid our points take is going to dip considerably in the next few games when we go to Old Toilet and the Arse and welcome the bluenoses to our place. Not saying we'll lose these games but all three points would be a huge surprise given our lamentable record against big teams in the Prem.

You've got to be realistic or else what's the point of even making the predictions? I think we'll lose to United, draw at Arsenal and beat the blue ****e.

Im sorry but this is just not even worth discussing. I did the predictions and we are still 9 points off winning the title. Man utd will stroll it and even if they dont, it wont be us that do. We are not in this title race.

You could also argue the exact opposite about his early season rotation. We are looking good now with a settled team and formation, but no one can say for sure if this is a result of keeping players fresh through rotation - or just the fact that he now knows the best formation that fits his best 11 players? Either way my point of view is that we will finish 10+ points off the eventual winners and that isn't a whisker unfortunately.
