I dont think he was, he played the game before against Derby on Sept 1st, then got a knock with Spain in training but played in their game against Iceland, then was dropped for the Portsmouth game, played against Porto the following Wed and was dropped again against Birmingham before playing in the f'n carling cup against Reading.

IMO he should have played in those games, an extra 4 points would have done us no harm, (who cares about the carling cup?) if only we had them before the Utd game last weekend, oh that and a different ref, and if Mascher kept his head and if...
I like to lurk, if that's ok with you

To be honest I agree I just think that in many ways the fact that what I would assume is a relatively quick summary in Rafa's eyes passes as top quality argument in the area because the standard of comment in general is so poor.

I would really like to see more coaches interviewing other coaches and or proper journalists attempting to actually improve people understanding. I know it is a lot to ask but you would imagine that something like Liverpool TV at the end of a season would do well to have programs on such things. Forums like this prove there is an audience of people who would be interested and I doubt they have much better to show on a post season Tuesday evening.

I can just imagine Rafa talking frankly about football and the journalist sitting their pretending to understand
