I do like watching them, but every Arsenal fan I speak to is so smug over the style of football they play (as if they are personally responsible). They think they are the connoisseurs of the purest game and scream "hoof!" whenever we clear the ball out of the area. They certainly have short memories.

Torres was past him..no reason for him to dive. Just find it ridiuclous that they continue to go on about that penalty yet fail to mention we should have had one
How Senderos didn't get booked for his blatant foul on Torres on the wing either I'll never know. Then there is Flamini who got away with 6 or 7 fouls.
Yet the only thing remembered is the Kuyt penalty incident
Good points.

The first thing a Chelsea lad in our office said this morning was that Sky ignored our perfectly good penalty shout without even bothering to show a replay and that it was the first time he'd really noticed how anti Liverpool Andy Gray and the rest of the Sky team are.
Hearing him say say that was quite shocking to me!Cult Member. Nazi puncher.

I was also a bit surprised that no replay was shown.--== Because the gang and the government is no different ==--

They are, however, the lesser of 3 evils by far.3rd place. Worst champions ever.

With regards to our penalty shout, I think that there would be a penalty given every football game if that sort of descision was given. It's another one of those "Free-kick outside the area, but ignored when in the box" ones.
The Arsenal one was far more clear cut and if I was an Arsenal fan I would be feeling hard done by, just like all you lot would be.
The ref by and large had a great game, he let the game flow and ignored the majority of 50-50's without really ruling in anyones favour. Not a typical European ref at all. Helped to make the game the exciting spectacle it was for the neutrals.Forwards.......

Yup one of them in work has been moaning and crying like a little girl who lost her barbi doll. He is getting on like they are already out, just hope the players are like there fans.Originally posted by REDrascal View PostI think their fans, maybe players too, really REALLY thought they were going to roll us over big time, that's the impression i get from hearing them on radio etc. Because it did'nt happen that way they now feel cheated, & what's more SCARED.

I thought the referee did well yesterday in the context of the match he was fairly consistent there were a number of incidents on both sides where players went down fairly easily when there was a little contact, the Hleb penalty being one case. Yes there was contact and a number of referees might have given a penalty but I don't think that there was enough contact to go down. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Neither do I, but if you don't go down you don't tend to get a descision in your favour. That's why all footballers go down easily.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI thought the referee did well yesterday in the context of the match he was fairly consistent there were a number of incidents on both sides where players went down fairly easily when there was a little contact, the Hleb penalty being one case.
