That to me sounds official, although there are no quotes from anyone to back this up.

I'm with Parry on this one. He knows he has ****ed up. He knows he will have to fall on his sword at some point too. But I think if he goes, Hicks will have free reign, so he's making it his mission to to Hicks off first.

I dont think Hicks intended for this to go public but somebody from within Liverpool clearly leaked it. The letters arrived at the club this morning and were leaked by the afternoon

He states that he is unhappy with our commercial performance

SSN saying that their sources say that Benitez is also unhappy with Parry

Well, I guess most fans have been unhappy with our commercial performance. And with Parry generally.

Interesting that Rafa and Hicks now appear to be on the same side.

With the risk of incurring a major firestorm, isn't this a pretty good development? Many of us have wanted this for some time (basically anybody who has tried to buy something on-line from the club store). Which leads me to...

All bought in the past year. Is Hicks really that bad? He and Benitez played hardball with each other and now seem to be on the same page.

Although this latest power struggle is not 'the Liverpool way,' it's pretty clear that the Liverpool way has seen us fall behind over the past fifteen years. Maybe we are simply witnessing the birth pangs of a new era of success.

It's well known that Hicks has been in contact via E-Mail with fans of the club. No doubt some of them moaned on about the way Parry has dealt with things. A quick tour of any Liverpool website would reveal the thoughts of Liverpool fans on Parry. Something along the lines of:

Takes to long on transfers
Let the club slip behind Man Utd on a commercial sense
Problems with the club on-line store

These problems are all addressed in the club letter. And we all knew that Rafa was not happy with Parry. It was one of the reasons that Rafa nearly got replaced with Klinsmann. Parry took to long on deals, so Rafa negotiated deals and was then told to concentrate on trainng and coaching his team.

Hicks also refers to this in the letter, but of course fails to mention he tried to get rid of Rafa along with Gillet.

Hicks saw this as a two way gain. Gets rid of a vote on the board and brings in his own man - Ian Ayre. Also gets the fans on his side by doing what they have all asked for.

At the end of the day I want Parry gone. But I want Hicks gone first.

Hicks and Rafa all the way. I'm sorry but this joint-ownership thing has been a joke from day one. Hicks has done an extremely poor job of his PR, especially in the autumn, but what has Gilette done? Anything? He was nowhere to be seen or heard from at any point. I have extreme doubts as to whether him selling out to DIC would improve the situation in the slightest. So what if Hicks forces Parry, and Gilette out, takes 100% control and gives Rafa a new contract. For Rafa to be in what appears to be his corner on this, he must have had assurances about (a) his future, and (b) spending on players. Perhaps after the "misunderstanding" a few months back the communication between the 2 has improved significantly.

Hicks can then sell to DIC in his own time, and in the meantime we get a bit of needed stability and single leadership. At least we'd know what we were dealing with then.

Me too but only because I trust Rafa to walk through the storm. He is the master of our destiny at the moment IMO, because he is focused on long term success for LFC.

Everyone else is trying to line their pockets.

- commercial ****ness
- Rafa thinks Parry is ****
- Poor treatment of fans

So aren't you basically saying in that a large amount of the issues that have developed between the fans and Hicks are Parry's fault? If it wasn't for Parry's role in that nonsense, would all that have happened?

I'd rather have a club united under Hicks and Rafa than one in complete limbo with 2 owners who can't get on and a CEO whom the manager and one owner hate. Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen to me.
