You should watch the interview, he was calm about it. Obviously he is going to be annoyed but he's not going to quit.

he might be calm about it. i think its the fact that rafa has history on walking out if he is not happy.

also he has been able to manipulate things to get what he wants (the stories of other clubs approaching him)

i hope he will stay but its not certain he will. also its not certain he wont.

If Rafa don't get the answers he want then he will walk without any doubt at all and who can blame him? Probably not before the end of the season but next season is a no go.

He is being treated and used like ****.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

LOL. He's hardly going to lose the plot in an interview, is he? He's fuming and rightly so. Want to lay a wager on him being at the club next season? You name it, I'll back it

                      That has obviously changed....

“(My own position) is the reason I want to clarify the situation – not just about the meeting but the people who were in that meeting.

                        it's a bloody disgrace...
hicks claims he wants to give rafa a long-term contract and team him up with ayre and nash... to play it out in the press and leaving rafa out in the cold is disgraceful, even more disgraceful than the chavs do their business.

i don't think rafa will quit though... i don't think that he would walk out on us before delivering the league title. the club means too much to him now imho.

He loved Valencia to bits but walked out. I'm not saying that he will leave just that it will be football reasons that will decide if he stays or not IMO.

but he left valencia to come here - footballing reason is that he had a better chance to win things at the one of the most pestigous clubs in the world. he wont leave walk out because anywhere else he goes will be a step backwards in his career and he knows it.

He won't have a chance to win the league in our current situation. It's only because he is a genius that we have a chance in the CL but you can't win the league even if you are the best manager around if the board don't back you up and support you.

i'm torn over whether to support your point or not. IMO had rafa stuck with his preferred formation and starting 11 from the start of the season, i beleive we could have realisticly challenged for the EPL title this year. the man is a genius though. not many around could have won the CL with the team houllier left him. we do need the board to support him and back him up but i dont see him leaving the club for the foreseeable future.
