A direct free kick is awarded to the opposing team if a player commits
any of the following six offences in a manner considered by the referee
to be careless, reckless or using excessive force:
        • kicks or attempts to kick an opponent
        • trips or attempts to trip an opponent
        • jumps at an opponent
        • charges an opponent
        • strikes or attempts to strike an opponent
        • pushes an opponent
A direct free kick is also awarded to the opposing team if a player
commits any of the following four offences:
        • tackles an opponent to gain possession of the ball, making contact
with the opponent before touching the ball
        • holds an opponent
        • spits at an opponent
        • handles the ball deliberately (except for the goalkeeper within his
        own penalty area)

            Steven Gerrard is a hypocrite!
            Whats your agenda mate?
Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

I don't see an agenda. He's just saying what he has seen. I can see how and why he has come to the conclusions that result in his posts.

Gerrard is a diver, it's funny how some people are trying to make excuses for it. The thing that pisses me off about it is that how when players like Torres and a few other foreigners signed they claimed that Gerrard told them not to dive because it isn't an acceptable thing to do in England. Then you watch him get on the field and take tumbles all over the place. Given he's not as bad as most some days he seems dead set on divng.

Which is pretty stupid if you think about it considering how **** we are from set peices.

Good point. It is pretty ironic.

Just had a look through his posts. All pretty negative posts/threads. Meh, just me thinking out loud.

Sorry mate. Did not mean to be a *******.

I just wanted to put this out because when I found this out I realised that probably less then 1% of the people I talk to about football knew this.

This is worth remembering when a player goes down in the box.

You get the feeling if Gerrard killed some man 99% of Liverpool fans would say it wasn't his fault and stick up for him.

                          I'll say no more.

You can count me in the 99%.

Stevie needs to work on his technique. Think about the first thing you would do if you were running at speed, got tripped and felt yourself starting to fall. You wouldn't throw your arms up in the air to try and soften the blow with your face, you'd fling them in front of your body to cushion yourself as you hit the deck.

But since the two star imports largely cleaned up their act, England's midfielder has taken over as the greatest play actor in the Premier League.
There is the problem with that article.
