Would Ian Ayre be better then Parry?

Hicks has said that if he had it his way he would like Ayre to replace Parry

"Under my ownership, Ian Ayre, Philip Nash [the finance director] and Rafa Benitez would make an outstanding management team. As we prepare to move into our new stadium in 2011, we will have the resources to be competitive year in and year out, and restore Liverpool Football Club to its position as the No 1 club in the world."

What do you think the impact of this would be and do you think he would be any good?

I'm not sure how any of us could possibly know the answer to that to be honest.

I don't know enough about the skills of these blokes, all I can say is that Marketing and Merchandise hasn't significantly improved since the Amercians bought the club, I know these things take time (and money) but we should have started to seen some signs of improvement by now. Who's to blame for this - I have no idea!

I'd be worried about any CEO handpicked by Hicks. He'd just be a puppet and if he had a vote on the board it would only serve to strengthen Hicks' position.

Anyone would be better than Parry and what Hicks is actually saying makes a lot of sense however I can't trust that fat Texan ******. We all know this isn't about how Parry is **** at his job it's about Hicks trying to gain control of our club.

The cunt has done nothing but lie and play his silly little game out in front of the world.

            I don't trust anything he say's.

Absolutely agree - we don't know the strenghts & skills of these people so difficult to give an accurate response. What I do know is he was taken on in a specific role to dramatically improve our commercial activities last summer and I have yet to hear of 1 x new deal of note. If he was brought on in a very senior position on presumably a salary to match and hasn't done what he was supposed to do, I would be very hesitant to see him "shoe-horned" into another position in order to justify his existence

Guess we wont really know for a couple of years to see if merchandising and related items are increasing but it sounds like he is starting from a very low base given the comments on this site about how hopeless Parry has been with this sort of thing.

Give the job to me, I would sign Messi, Kaka and Pele, have free beer for all home fans and naked dancing girls at half time with free bj's with the halftime pie.

All visiting Mancs would be executed after relieving them of any money they have.
