Voronin was very good today. Watch the whole match again. He put it in a good team performance and showed a lot of skill. I'm sure Kuyt could have learnt a few tricks from him today

i.e. Voronin controlled the ball very well and showed a great first touch on more than one occasion. These are things that let Kuyt down

This is actually quite funny. I normally like Voronin.

But in my opinion, his touch was bad, he was slow to make up is mind, he was slow to get to where he needed to be, he seemed to often pick the wrong pass. He generally seemed like he was trying to prove something, like he was trying to hard. For me the only reason Rafa took him of, and for a left back for that matter, was because he was ****.

I´m pretty sure I have seen all his games for us and IMHO this was his worst.

But having said that, I do respect you opinion.

Sorry Saj, but i agree with Einar, he was ok in the first half but to say his touch first touch is excellent would be wrong, there were moments that his first touch stopped any forward momentum we gained in attack. He has done ok this season but this wasnt a good performance.

Einar, Voronin was trying way too hard for all the reasons you say, you can tell the difference between having him or Kuyt in, DK is more direct moving forward. However I saw the highlights on tv and it did show the good bits of Voronin's play. The guy never looked like he was going to score.

What wasnt shown on tv was that Pennant was excellent in making runs into space and dragging out Konchesky to the wing and creating some width but i think the frustrations with him were cutting in at every opportunity and he was heavy with his final ball at times when he was in good positions. He had a good game though his finish was good and always was availabel to spread out the play, was a tad disappointed Finnan didnt support him more in an attacking position.

Voronin's touch isn't excellent. Its good as he is a footballer but he seems to kill any momentum we have by stopping turning and passing backwards.
