    Home first away second

Obviosuly different setup than the last two times we beat the Chavs and it makes a good first leg result that much more important. I just hope we arent backs to the walls at their place too much as we wont have such an amazing atmosphere (though im confifdent our away fans will do us proud).

Of course, we didnt have Torres the last two times and thats a huge plus. When you factor in the unrest in the Chavs camp too, maybe that goes in our favor as well. Its hard as hell to score at their place and they have that record of being unbeaten there forever. I think we just have to make sure that either

    a) they dont get an away goal to start with and/or
    b) that if they do get one at our place that we get at least 2.

Wouldnt fancy a score draw of any kind in leg 1 although a 0-0 wouldnt be the worst result in the world. Of course a nice 2-0 would set us up perfectly

It'll obv be a bit cagey first leg but I can't see us not scoring, same with the second leg. Although the atmosphere helps, the thought of a last minute away goal at our place (had it been home leg 2nd) makes me have to change my underwear. We now have pace upfront though, something Chelsea haven't faced against us in the CL. We will do them

1st leg is key. We need to do to the chavs exactly what we did to inter. A 2-0 would be the perfect result.
      Dare we believe

no problem. the way Chelsea are playing at the moment we will win the first leg 2-0 and get a 1-1 draw at their place to send Jabba and his boys out. I cannot see them beating us over the two legs. I fel we have the better attack as a whole.

I wouldnt get too carried away just yet. Yes they have been crap since grant took charge but they have been winning games whilst being pants. That's the mark of a good and experienced team.

They have world class players all over. The first leg will be key for us, we need to score and keep a clean sheet the other end. There are reports that they will definitely be missing essien and maybe also lampard and ballack.

If so, then we will have to take advantage of that and try to end the finish the tie as a genuine contest at anfield.

they are not as good going forward as arsenal are but have other strengths. Its going to be another 2 very tight games decided by little things.

            starting to feel nervous.

Not conceding at home is key. Even a 0-0 is a good result IMO.

Why did they play on Monday and then Thursday and then not have to play at the weekend. Is a five day break before the CL enough?????

we defo need to score at least 2 goals, we dont have a great scoring record at the Bridge and they will be bolstered in the 2nd leg with Essien returning. But having said that, Grant seems to be losing it and tactically is poor.
