Keegan's just playing up to the Geordie fans as always.

I can only assume you apply the same logic to your posts.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Keegan's comments. Unless you'd expect Rafa to come out with a comment like "We understand Steven's desire to join United, as he has a better chance of realising his dream of winning the PL with them..."
No, i would expect Rafa to say nothing, no club had been linked to Owen, he was not asked about Liverpool at all, he decided to bring it up, & say moving to say Liverpool OR Man City wouldn't be a step up, but a sideways step, come on Liverpool or Man City, if he had compared Newcastle to Us would be bad enough, but to put City, Newcastle & Us in the same bracket is laughable, even if he's sucking up. He just looks idiotic, That's the point, suck up to the fans by all means, but do it with a hint of credibility ffs.

He wouldn't say that if he wasn't manager of NUFC. The only thing NUFC competes with LFC on is attendances. On every other scale they are a distant second

After 14 out of 19 home games this season (ie before things picked up for Newcastle over the past couple of games) Newcastles average attendance this season was 51087, out of a capacity of 52387.

Deserting the club? Don't think so Parm.

Spurs fans are the worst for that sort of carry on. Remember how they treated Chris armstrong? He must have hated playing for them. I can only imagine how they'd take to a player like kuyt. They're starting on a lot of their own this season too such as chimbonda

did you see our match against them at their place? they turned on the team seconds after Gerrard scored.
and deserting them, mate they give it the large they supported the team through thick and thin, but go back to when Keegan first took over and the place was half empty. They arent as supportive as they would have you believe.

Nah, just loud and deluded. And they don't know too much about footy either generally, the way they treated Sam Allardyce was a disgrace. Thye think he should be ****ing superman or something.

Suppose Keegan knows this, he most likely knew when he made a daft remark like Man City, Newcastle & Liverpool being on the same level, the Geordies would believe him.
