    The silver lining thread

    1) We didn't lose (I expected a 0-1(dodgy pen) to Chelsea)

    2) Chelsea's spirits are up, they'll go all out to beat scum with this belief now that they know all they have to do is defend against us for 90 mins

    3) Should be knackered after 2)

    4) If we don't beat Chelsea we don't deserve to be in the final. Simple as. And I think we deserve to be there and so shall be there.
    One tit for another.

In fairness, I also expected them to score so a 1-1 isn't too far off

We'll beat them, i'm more confident now than i was before the 1st leg, i honestly thought they would get 2 away goals. We go there now & score early & they will be under massive pressure knowing the the next goal kills em.

Now that I can look at it a bit more rationally (despite being ****ing furious at him) I can say that we are in a pretty decent position. I don't think they'll keep a clean sheet against us, despite what recent results tell us. Also, to be fair despite our chances they also had a few good ones, our goal came from a Masch shot which was so badly scuffed it turned into a perfect throughball and they defended it really badly. So why not, I know there's wasn't as obvious of self implosion as ours but still, everything isn't that bad.

I hope Aurelio is alright, cracking player when fit.

Also, our players will be rested until next Wednesday's match which could be a big factor in the latter stages.

I reckon we'll take the lead and end winning 2-1 in extra time.

It least we know what we have to do in 2nd leg

... at 1-0 we might have been worrying whether to go for another goal or just sit back

                ...I am trying
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I suppose the fact that we know we have to can only work in our favour and if they manage to get 2, well, we go all out for the equaliser and we're through!

We have to really ****ing go for it though, none of this sitting back ****. Chelsea could have seriously been hit for 3 or 4 but both Wigan and Boro at the bridge so scoring 2 is not out of the question

Also means we are finally seen as the defeated team again. The underdogs if you like. Suits us fine sir. Anyway, I didn't like all this bigging us up before the first leg...made me twitchy. Now we can all relax and do our job.

To be fair I thought the equaliser was inevitable there. 1-1 was probably about right. All I will say is that their home record has to end some time.

We had chances mate, I'll give you that but they always looked dangerous in the second half. I would have been ecstatic with 1-0.
