Thanjk you.

I think people are being way to harsh on riise... it is a difficult ball, and he diden't do to well with it... Well he messed it up by not using his foot
I still think he could be a good squad player, and think it is disgracefull that some people are slating him as a bad player since he joined us. He has served us well, and will have more to come as soon as he recaps form. I for one hope he stays, no matter he made a mistake tonight - however woefull!
What a load of bull, it's easier to adjust your foot than your head to an indifferent bounce, it was a bad choice by riise, end of
Really? Oh, my mistake. I assumed that if a ball travelling quickly, bounces a few yards as well as chest height in front of you, then its a safer bet to get your head, and therefore your whole body, in front of the ball rather than one foot. Given that the said player is a LEFT BACK, and therefore LEFT FOOTED, personally I dont think the decision was that bad, but evidently thats just me! Granted, if he were a better footballer, he'd have been able to use a foot other than his left, but I guess thats the reason he was on the bench.......
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

are you saying it's ok for someone on his wages to be happy being one footed, even at schoolboy level you are trained to use both feet, or maybe that was just our school,
that ball was never going to bounce to head/chest height, if it had he would have dived under it
As mentiond o n another thread, poor poor from Jonny, but Oggies alwys look stupid.
JAR has served us for years & won a lot with us- inc CL. In the seim 3 years back, had eidur;'s shot gone in, he was quotes as saying "i'd have cried then shot myself". People shjould respect his legacyh

I think he said he would have retired, not shot himself. Based on the last 3 years, that might not have been a bad idea.

i am not forgetting what he has done in the past for us, but over the last 2 seasons he has seriously gone off the boil, and tonight was evidence of this,

No of course i'm not! By that rationale, we should blame whomever lets him still play for Liverpool, whomever let him on the bench!
Alls i'm sayin is that he IS one footed, and wasn't comfortable enough using his right foot
That ball COULD have gone head/chest height, which is why he ducked his head to get to it. It went lower, meaning he had to produce a diving header, meaning he totally ****ed it up.
Alls i'm saying is the decision wasnt as bad as some on here make out, thats all

if you watched as aurelio was carried off rafa slaps him on the leg, and i bet he said, look what you have made me do now, the one footed ginger has got to come on in your place,
also once your commited to a diving header you can't change your mind depending on the bounce, so at least he judged the bounce right, but if he had gone for it with his WEAKER right foot, it would be easier to adjust the swing path of his leg/foot to the indifferent bounce
