fierce, i am not getting at you, but Riise gets paid more in one week than most earn in a year, and gets paid for doing what most lads pay to do most nights and weekends, he trains 5 days a week so surely he should use his right leg for something more than just standing on,
as you say, you play to a higher standard than most, so can you use both feet to a certain extent

Heard Riise still managed to get Lampard's shirt after. That must count as a good result for him.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful

He's only a human being though.

I don't have a clue to why Riise is picked ahead of Insua.

We have the best young left fullback in the world and he isn't playing and can't even get a place ahead of Riise.

The world is full of mysteries.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

**** it, i'm gonna go against the majority and say that Riise shouldn't be too castigated for his part. He had to get something on it, and i think he chose the right option, but got caught out by the bounce. However, the cross should never have come in, and by that time we should have been at least 2 up, with Torres missing one glorious opportunity and having another one from a corner, both of which he hit straight at the keeper...

Howver, i'm not too disheartened by a 1-1 draw...we go to the Bridge knowing what we have to do now, and Chelsea will be unsure; do they sit back and play for a 0-0, or do they attack??

Insua cant be any worse. When Hyppia scored that OG at Goodison he honestly looked like he was going to cry. The guy was gutted and I was gutted for him. He has been immense this year and is a true pro.

Riise just could not give a **** IMO and when he did it I felt seroius anger.
In last years semi Agger got thought a lesson in the first half at Stamford Bridge, but made up for it bigtime with his goal in the 2nd leg.

Riise would want to do the same although I would rather not have him in the 18.

He was hardly going to walk off with a smile. He cares in a different way to the rest. He did not learn his mistake after the Luton OG.
