    Alonso Is Back!

Thats the best I have seen him play in years. Ive been one of the most vocal in calling for him to be sold this summer but if he plays like that consistenly there's no way I would sell him.

He was magnificent for me last night. He seems to be a couple of paces faster, showed some fantastic skills on the ball and his passing had that extra zip to it. He worked really hard and got stuck in.

For the first 20 minutes of the second half I thought we played some brilliant football and Alonso was at the heart of it all.

If only we had pushed on and knicked that 2nd goal things might have been oh so different.

WHAT a performance. He bossed the game from start to finish. Ran the show. Man of the match by the proverbial country mile. An outstanding performance, the like of which I feared we’d never see again from Xabi.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He was immense last night. Absolutely bossed the game. Game at palm of his hand.

I'm praying we get Agger back for next season so we can play a pressing game much higher up the pitch. An on-fire Alonso suits that system so well.

Alonso, Skrtel and Carragher were on fire last night.

                  I wish Drogba caught fire.

Also, the backheel to Mascherano for the goal. He's not going anywhere!

It's gas the different views people have of football games, John Giles, who is a great analyst, has been giving out about him last night saying he should have controlled the game much more in the last 15 min's and seen us through to at worst a 1 - 0!!

seem to remember Alonso playing his best games for us when Stevie G was out injured couple of seasons back

                          Keep this quiet

And also in the derby when Gerrard was sent off after about 20 minutes. Possibly his finest performance for us.

As always against the big teams, Stevie G goes missing.
