kuyt is rafa's heskey - i hope he doesn't contribute to his downfall in the same way as heskey did for houllier
Takes all sorts of players to make a TEAM, a side without the hard working type will achieve nothing. Ah **** it, i'm off to study form for today, see if i can get....er em....LUCKY.

Dirk was great yesterday...again! I can't see why anyone is still slagging him off I really can't.

He hasn't scored a single home goal in the Premiership ALL SEASON. Not one. 14 months and counting.

He's playing out of position!!! What about his goal assists? Defensively he's been great. His run in the CL? His workrate. Yes sorry to harp on about that but **** me I don't see any other player giving it as much game in and game out! Tell me a player that was better than him yesterday!! Not as if he didn't have chances to score either. He was unlucky not to score yesterday.

He had chances to score and missed them all!

Including a free header from about six yards.

"defensively he's been great" - this is a man playing as one of our four offensive players. We have just four players in our team to attack, yet the completely impotent Kuyt is somehow let off the hook by some because "he's great defensively".

We will never, ever win the league with that attitude.

He's not playing out of position either.

"I don't really like to be put in any specific bracket - a right midfielder, right winger, striker or second striker," he told the club's official website.

"I've probably got a bit of all these positions within my game. I can play as a striker, a second striker or on the right or on the left.

"Whatever that may be, I just like to do it my own way.

"But playing on the right is not exactly new to me. I've played there for two years in the Dutch national team and also for a year and a half when I started out at Utrecht.

"I know what to do out there, so it's not like I'm just learning the job."

Exactly, you could say Stevie is playing out of position if that were the case. Look at the amount of goals that Djibsy scored and set up from the right wing

Nobody is questioning his work rate, just his ability as a striker / winger... Not scoring a goal in 14 months in the premiership is poor no matter if your a striker or a winger. And over a season luck has nothing to do with it!

He has made a few assists I will grant him that

I would be very excited about his workrate if he was in maschers position, but as a winger / striker there are other parts of the game that are more important. A good squad player, no more...

didnt know he hadnt scored at home in the league

have to agree with a few above - he is a striker - he is paid to score goals

                                he doesnt get enough.

at best 3rd choice next year

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."
