I don't think there's any need to question that in a thread entitled like this one..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

If I was offered £7m for Kuyt I'd sell him.
Not good enough to play up front and not good enough for the RW. Reminds of Cisse actually in terms of player development at Anfield.
The differences between the two are huge though. Cisse offered a goal scoring threat whilst Kuyt doesn't. Kuyt worked his guts out whilst Cisse couldn't be bothered.
Neither are good enough for LFC.Forwards.......

If we do sign a quality RW this summer I think Kuyt would make an excellent impact sub (although I am happy with him in the starting 11 unlike most). Remember his debut? Roaming all over the place, shooting from all over the place. I remember it well because I was there and he looked nippy enough and very fresh against the other team.
Anyway, his workrate over 90 mins is outstanding, maybe the same workrate condensed into 20/30 minutes would help him do more with the ball, because for me half the time he looks too ****ed and worked up to relax on the ball and do a little more with it (which I think he's capable of)Sack swinging like Dub-D40 on a door hinge

Their first touches were very similar in the fact that neither of them have got one.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostIf I was offered £7m for Kuyt I'd sell him.

Goal threats, they are worlds apart.
Im sure i heard yesterday that Deadly has 3 goals in the league this season, 2 of them were pens against the bitters, anyone know if this is correct? If you've lost your faith in love and music the end won't be long

Pretty sure it is. 2 pens and one of his shin/leg against (possibly) Blackburn away. Might be wrong about Blackburn thoughOriginally posted by Joe Le Toff View PostTheir first touches were very similar in the fact that neither of them have got one.

staggering statistic - kuyt has scored one league goal from open play all season and even that he knew nothing about.
ged rid we've never won anything with him in the team and we never will (ok one is a statistic the other an assumption)
funny these statistic things - you can dress them up to make even **** sound like a meal fit for a king.

Never ceases to amaze me, how people can talk so badly about a player wearing the Red of Liverpool, giving everything, & bought by a manager we all adore & respect.
Maybe the vitriole should be aimed at the manager & not the player, but Kuyt is an easy target i suppose.

Not as if he didn't have chances to score either. He was unlucky not to score yesterday.

Ill quite happily see him not score a home league goal all next season also, since the new formation how many points have we lost at home? I think none? Oh and the only draw at all was the ginger one's own goal against Chelsea. Team game you know.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostHe hasn't scored a single home goal in the Premiership ALL SEASON. Not one. 14 months and counting.08-09 Dirk monitor

That's not BECAUSE of Kuyt though mate, it's more in spite of his impotence in front of goal. And for the record, i do like him. He isnt really good enough though.Originally posted by lfcruleus View PostIll quite happily see him not score a home league goal all next season also, since the new formation how many points have we lost at home? I don't know why people waste their time. It's laughably pointless..

In that time he hasnt scored in the league. In that time also we have scored more goals than the opposition in each of the games hence THE TEAM has won???
If it aint broke dont fix it, Dirk aint broke he just isnt Fernando Torres.
I fail to see how any other player within reason (so not feckin Ronaldo or Messi) could have done more for the team than Dirk has?08-09 Dirk monitor
