If I was offered £7m for Kuyt I'd sell him.
Not good enough to play up front and not good enough for the RW. Reminds of Cisse actually in terms of player development at Anfield.
The differences between the two are huge though. Cisse offered a goal scoring threat whilst Kuyt doesn't. Kuyt worked his guts out whilst Cisse couldn't be bothered.

If we do sign a quality RW this summer I think Kuyt would make an excellent impact sub (although I am happy with him in the starting 11 unlike most). Remember his debut? Roaming all over the place, shooting from all over the place. I remember it well because I was there and he looked nippy enough and very fresh against the other team.
Anyway, his workrate over 90 mins is outstanding, maybe the same workrate condensed into 20/30 minutes would help him do more with the ball, because for me half the time he looks too ****ed and worked up to relax on the ball and do a little more with it (which I think he's capable of)Sack swinging like Dub-D40 on a door hingeComment

staggering statistic - kuyt has scored one league goal from open play all season and even that he knew nothing about.

Never ceases to amaze me, how people can talk so badly about a player wearing the Red of Liverpool, giving everything, & bought by a manager we all adore & respect.
Maybe the vitriole should be aimed at the manager & not the player, but Kuyt is an easy target i suppose.

Ill quite happily see him not score a home league goal all next season also, since the new formation how many points have we lost at home? I think none?
