If I was Masch I would be feeling very let down, how both teams got away with abusing the ref and linesman for the full duration of the game fails me when Torres got booked for asking why he never received a foul? In every incident the players had clearly lost control and then there were the scenes at the end.
The FA will probably drag their heels and any punishment wont be dealt until next season; when that Barney Grumble lookalike - Rio Ferdinand, should miss the next two games.

Every since the Mascherano incident I've been watching for similar cases and this match yesterday was full of them, I said at the time they just wanted a scapegoat for the Cole incident and a few weeks later it sould all be forgotten about ... seems to be the caseThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Fancy that - it was the first penalty given against Man U in the league this season. They were the only team thet hadn't had a penalty awarded against them. Clearly Old Purple Nose was a bit miffed because the ref had failed to read the scriptOriginally posted by Gingawaria View PostI loved his reasoning for it not being a penalty:
1. It wasn't a deliberate handball, besides Rio Ferdinand was behind him the whole time.
SO?!!? It doesn't have to deliberate, at the end of the day...a handball in the box is an unfair advantage and as such should be punished. Plus, it was clearly deliberate, he had ample time to get his hand out of the way.
2. Linesmen shouldn't have the authority to give that kind of decision.
Isn't that their job?!? Someone should tell him that they're Assistant Referees now, and have been for about 10 years, they're there to assist the referee and give decisions that the Ref's too far away to see.
3. It was too big a match to give that sort of decision.
This is the most pathetic excuse of the lot in my book, since when has being a 'Big' match had anything to do with refereeing decisions? He's a joke...it doesn't matter whether it's a premiership title decider or a mid table clash in League 2, that would still have been given as a penalty.
Get over it Slur Alex.

Its about time someone from the papers mention this but I doubt its not going to happen. Alan Green on 5 Live was on about this throughout a one and half hour 606 session. The fact that Ferdinand is considered as a future England captain is a disgrace really however surprisingly, I thought Terry conducted himself well and controlled his players going to the referee. Weird. Maybe he got a rollicking from someone upstairs.
Fergie builds himself up and his team to such great heights yet I love it when they are knocked off.

The trouble is that no one really takes Alan Green seriously as he is a/ a gob****e and b/ firmly believed to be a Liverpool fan by the supporters of the other big teams. There needs to be a much wider and more respected set of people consistently bringing the subject up (or alternatively something really high profiles like MOTD making a real point of exposing things - never going to happen mind)."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
