I'd consider playing a 442 and a similar starting line-up to the 2nd leg against Arsenal. Crouchy and Torres could do some damage to the Chav defence and I'd fancy them to get at least one. Put Crouch on Carvalho and Torres can get revenge against that dirty git Terry. Not sure I would play Gerrard on the left though (like he did against the Arse).

I'd still go for 4231 (the formation which has won us the last 10+ games).

Swap Crouch for Lucas/Xabi and we are as good as in the finals

yeah not a bad shout, Crouch could cause them all sorts of problems.Pennant has played well for a fw games, but thing is, Xabi was superb against the chavs and we would miss that passing ability.

He's capable, but doesnt produce. He was great at Birmingham, so why dont we see that on a regular basis? It's all in the mind, he's either lazy or lacking confidence but either way, i'd be looking to sign a quality right winger and ship Pennant out. Kuyt's ahead of Pennant in the pecking order on merit...and that's saying something.

I wouldnt play Pennant, i just forgot Kuyt

Alonso's passing ability isnt enough to get him in the team, when you consider the value of what SG and JM give us.

Problem with 442 is that the 3 Chelsea players in Central Midfield will dominate us. Its a tough call but i think we will have to start with 4231 and save Crouchy for later in 2nd half
