you have heard the adverts...."Setanta - great sport - no annual contract, just £9.99 per month".....well.....I tried today to cancel this monthly contract and was faced with some 50 minutes of choosing options / waiting on the phone / waiting on the phone in a attempt to cancel for the close season!

Eventually, and by being bloody-minded I was able to cancel...BUT EVERYONE BEWARE....they make it bloody difficult for you to do so......so much so that I'll now be sticking to internet streaming of their LFC games in the future!

maybe it would have been worthwhile canceling your direct debit,then they would have contacted you.

though of that....but it seems my Setanta order was put through on a credit card.

In any event I was told that you have to give them 30 days notice when quitting - which means that they would then be taking another payment from you.

I tried to cancel in January but got an offer of 3 months at half price - which I regretably took.Got charged full price again in Febuary - apparently they had no record of my half price offer .
Had to cancel again so they took another full price for a month's notice and I was switched off 3 days into that month.Never again.
I'm sticking with Sky and my foreign satellite (DigitAlb) will cover Setanta games in future.Only got it for LFCTV.

When they asked me why and would I be interested in taking a reduced option.

I told them no, because I was emigrating. (Which I'm not of course)
