Champions League Semi Final 2nd Leg Preview

    Liverpool vs Chelsea (1-1 agg)

As things stand Chelsea go through, if Liverpool score, we are back to square one as such (providing they score)

Are you nervous? Tense? Excited? Confident?

We haven't scored let alone won at Stamford Bridge for four years and eight meetings. Its an unbelievable record, one which Manchester United broke on the weekend but they lost as well.

Its backs to the wall stuff and we will see what the managers and players are made of when they have to go Stamford Bridge and get at least a high scoring draw to go through. Tactics are very key in this game, one slip up could cost us big time.

Something to cheer you up with:

I'm scared TBH, cos if we get this wrong, our season ends. And we'll have to watch the scum play the plastics in moscow.

I dont mean to sound like a negative ****er again but i don't expect us to get through.
I get the same feeling when we go to Stamford Bridge than i do at OT - that we'll get **** all joy and come out losers.

I hope we go down with a fight though.

Im not scared at all. I expected us to win last week and had it not been for a moment of madness by Riise we would have won.

I expect the same this week. Technically Chelsea are ahead on the away goal so we know that we have to go out there and score goals. I aint scared, im confident that this time, knowing that we MUST score, WE WILL SCORE. WE WILL QUALIFY

Oh and Barca will get a score draw tonight and knock the manc scum out

We dominated them and completely strangled the life out of them at Anfield. 1-1 was an absurd scoreline for that match.

Away from home is a different story though

I know the lads will give their all, so I'm hopeful. We need a strong ref and a bit of space for Torres.

Babel could be vital; but must come off the bench.

Benayoun to start for me. In small spaces, he can be good. We won't have much possession so it is vital we take everything for granted and this man can change it for us.

By this time I am normally starting to feel nervous as well. However I am quite confident ahead of this match for some reason and I am not sure this is a good thing

I am confident we will score though, just not that we will score enough. I am excited by the fact we have to score and this means a change in tactics for a game at SB. Still think Rafa will be cautious early and only go rerally attacking at specific times in the 1st half.

I also suspect Babel will start on the bench.

I expect the plan to be keep it 0-0 for the first 65 mins and then go for the goal in the last 20. Which is risky IMO.

I agree although it could be earlier than 65min, more like 50-55min IMO. If it's still 0-0 at 65min though we are in a good position I think. We should be fresher and if they score 1, stiff **** really.

Risky, true, but classic Rafa and classic Liverpool, we never do things easy like

I think we'll go 1-0 up right at the start, defend this for most of the game, chelski get a suspicious penalty, then its ET Pens etc, and the class of reina and co shine through!

                        Come On!!

Expect Crouch at around 70 mins

I'd be tempted to put Hyypia on for the last 5 minutes up front if it was 0-0.

I agree. His movement may not be what we like but if someone can put it near his head he is as good a header as anyone, certainly better than Huth. Infact it would be a sweet way to win

Hyypia would win a lot of first balls and does in corners. If he aims it at Torres and Crouch who are better at second balls, we might get some joy.
