I agree. Reina was immense last night, we should hang on to him for dear life. Joe Hart has a decent season and some folks are clamouring all over him. Some people on here play too much Football manager and think that we have empty pockets. Loops list above would cost hundreds of millions, its just not going to happen.

So we lost last night. There is some serious knee jerking on here today. We have a good squad and we need a few replacements at full back and on the wing. Thats about it. Or rather, that will be about it because we aren't super rich.

And the people calling for Rafa to be sacked are asking for another three years of rebuilding and readjustment. Lets not throw the baby out with the bathwater.

not sure loop - he had a very dodgy spell against united when we lost 3-0, he shouldnt have been beated by drogba at his near post in the first half. Has never convinced me and whenever the ball comes into the box i am always on edge. I would go for hart because he is already a very good keeper and being english this would be good for the team.

Reina has had some good games but he does flap a lot.

Reina is a good keeper but was clearly at fault for the first goal last night, and he seems to get caught on his near post far too much for a keeper of his quality.
To this day my heart still goes in my mouth when a good cross goes into our box as i never know what hes going to do.

How was he at fault for the first goal? He made a good save from Kalou, pushed the ball away, but then Drogba followed it up and smashed it in the bottom corner. Yes it was at the near post, but Reina didn't exactly have much time to set himself after making the first save, and I don't think any keeper in the world would have stopped that.

Don't see how Pepe could be blamed for the 1st goal. Sometimes, when the ball is blasted at 100mph, you just have to hold your hands up - near post or not. Much like Diaby’s goal at Anfield. Also Pepe was recovering his position after making a good save so he wasn’t as well set as he normally would be.

Can’t believe he’s being criticised to be honest. He saved a number of fizzing, skiddy efforts that the likes of Robinson and Van der Sar spill routinely.

Reina was in no way at fault for the 1st goal. It's laughable to say otherwise. He is a great keeper and what people tend to forget is he is still very young and will get even better. If anyone is to blame for the 1st goal it is Riise. He really let himself down ovewr the two ties and IMO is the reason we are not in the final. I hope to god we sell him this summer.

4) Rafa to sign new contract.

I didn't say I would, and we can certainly do better, both as a striker and on the right. But I took exception to that poster calling him a loser when he has scored some massive goals for us recently.

The reality is he's completely ****ing rubbish, for a team that aspires to compete at the level Liverpool do. Our rivals have been laughing at us for two seasons now, they must find it hilarious that this is the type of donkey we persist with in our first team.

I don't care what goals he scored recently, he holds the team back in 90% of our games. Last night's performance was another unmitigated disaster from him, he contributed less than nothing, but Rafa loves him so he stays on - again at the expense of Crouch who is a far superior player.

And remember this guy is a supposed striker. The only reason Kuyt is playing at right-mid for us right now is his complete ineptness up front. Even at right-mid he's rubbish - no technique, no pace, no vision, no first touch, no ability to beat a man, can't cross for ****. But he can run around a lot, well done.

So, yeah he's not a loser. Whatever, but he needs to be jettisoned from the club in the summer.

Alonso out and Affelay or Michael Johnson in.(Love Alonso but word is he is going)
Kewell out and another top young attacker in.
Voronin and Crouch will go so Lisandro Lopez should be signed up.
David Silva or another No. 10 type player should be signed.
We need to sign pacey players up with skill and attitude.

Raul Albiol from Valencia too for centre back. Sami should be used in emergencies next year.
