    Finnan

Is he on the way out? Great player for us in the past.
Could of done with his experience tonight.
Josemi,Kromkamp and Arbeloa have all been brought in to give him competition but none of them are a patch on him.

Whoever replaces him will want to be very good.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful
    everyone wants to know

Not the same player anymore. Time to be shipped in my opinion. I'm sure Newcastle will be interested

I think he's had some niggling injuries and at his age they are proving hard to overcome.

Could still be a good player for a lower Premiership team / Championship side but we need someone with more pace for that spot.

Not sure if he was fit tonight, but i'd have been much more happy with him at RB and Arbeloa at LB.

Good point, the signing of 2 quality full backs in this window is top priority for me.

He was fit enough to play a full 90 mins at the weekend so he should have been fit for last night.

He seems to have slipped to third in the pecking order for RB after Arbeloa and Carra. Major fall from grace for a man who has been our most consistent performer in the previous season or two.
A humble guy with healthy desire.

i.e. He's better than Riise. They should both go.

                  Consistently average imo.

Well said. Some might say he hasnt been as good as usual this season, but it is much harder when your only picked to play every now and then. Him and Crouch should have played last night.

Arbeloa isn't a patch on Finnan.

The treatment of Finnan this season is up there with the treatment of Crouch - unfair and inexplicable.

Major questions marks about Benitez's first team selections this season. Having doubts about the man's ability to get us #19.
